Turning Moments Into Memories At IKS Marsh McLennan, we have introduced a new initiative. It's called the Gratitude Jar. The idea is simple. Whenever you feel grateful for something a colleague has done, write it down on a piece of paper and drop it into the jar. It could be anything - from supporting a project, to providing guidance when needed, to extending a helping hand, or bringing meaningful changes to lives. The first week, the Jar sat mostly empty, a solitary note or two at the bottom. Colleagues were busy, and expressing gratitude didn't come naturally in the hustle of daily tasks. But, as weeks passed, the Jar began to fill up and now it has become an integral part of us at IKS. Personally, I believe, Gratitude Jar is more than just an office initiative. It is a symbol of respect and care. These are not just the handwritten notes, these are precious moments, acts of kindness, and positive connections. It reminds me of a quote from a book. "In a world where words often rush past, a sincere thank you stands out like a beacon of appreciation." In the end, gratitude is all about shifting focus from what we lack to what we have. What professional accomplishment are you most proud of? For me, it's not about the number of teams I've built or the revenue growth I've achieved. While those are important, what I'm most proud of is the deep trust I've built with my colleagues. I've had the privilege of working with some incredible professionals multiple times throughout my career. Being someone people can trust with their careers, their companies, and take a leap of faith for is the true measure of success. So, what are you proud of? Share your accomplishments in the comments below. #professionalaccomplishments #trust #success

If you want your first post-military job to be your #foreverjob, you’ve already kind of lost the transition I mean - I wanted my first post-military to kind of be my "forever company," but then I filled experience gaps and the company didn't have room for me to grow fast enough... So I moved to EY where that certainly existed #quinnsights After you get out, there will be another #career A whole 'nother phase of your life (even if only ~10 years) With twists and turns (some unexpected) So you need to be setting realistic 5 years goals for career progression As in: what do you want to be doing in 5 years…and at what level? And then be ready to adjust when opportunity presents itself #militarytransition Questions? Did you experience this?

Trust, Reputation and Relationships: A Trip Down Memory Lane 💦🚗✨ Throw🔙: For the ones who know me well, they know I have a lot of trouble doing nothing. So when the perspective was 3 weeks of “doing nothing” in between jobs, I figuered why not make a trip down memory lane?! And so I did; back to cleaning cars from my DriveClean days, albeit for 4 days. 🙏🏼 Appreciation: What asronished me most was that, after more than 1,5 years, the 4 available days were fully booked within 2 hours! The reputation and trust I’d built over the years was still there. I am grateful for and would like to thank the clients that again gave me their trust to clean their cars after all this time. 🎓Key takeaway: building relationships, trust and reputation is hard and takes a long time. However, once it is there, charished and nurtured; it will stick around for a long time!

Thank you everyone for sparing time to wish me on my work anniversary. Was quite overwhelmed with the number of congratulatory messages that I received in my inbox . As I look at the number of years I have stayed in this organisation was thinking what made me stay back. Earlier stint was for 12 years.. the kind of industry I work for access to alternative was never an issue.. so what was it? I always loved working where I got space to think and implement.. here when I joined as a State office head I got exactly that.. independence to think and implement.. the organisation I joined way back in 2007 embraced me like a family and I hope this remains in the years to come.. this is what made my workplace special and ensured many of us did not pay heed to the lure of the outside world. I also belong to stone age and never really could wrap my head regarding joining a competitive body.. now when I think about my journey.. I am so thankful for the variety of experiences.. i dont think this kind of diversity in job profile I could have had maybe if I would have chosen some other path . I am so very thankful for all the connects I made within and outside the organisation.. most of the connects I have made outside CII have remained and the positivity , warmth, help , appreciation I have received and continue to receive from many of them is what really keeps me going..times are changing, outlook is changing but I will in no way want to change the work atmosphere / work ethics/ work definition that I experienced . Maybe resilience, grit and ability to look at adversity in the eye and face it also helped :) And organisation has always had my back at the time of personal crisis which reaffirmed that investment of time, energy, emotion was worth it..end of the day people makes an organisation and the positivity received has far far outweighed everything else :) Here's to some more years of growth and shared success together! 🌟 #WorkAnniversary #Gratitude #PositiveWorkEnvironment #bepositive #employeewellbeing #worklife

One of my teammate Bhaginder Singh grand mother passed away, and he was not going there. When his uncle called me, telling that his grandmom passed away I was so shocked as I was clueless. When I called him he said no one else is there in office today and I am responsible how can I ask for leave ? I said him, we are team and we are here to help each other in such situations, atleast you should have informed so that we could have planned. I called up my another teammate Vishnu Vadukapurapu and explained him the situation he took up the responsibility and managed the pendency. This situation has been be handled with empathy and responsibility. Supporting your teammate during a difficult time and ensuring work is taken care of shows great teamwork and understanding. It's important to have colleagues who can step up when needed and to foster a supportive work environment. There are people who takes responsibility of the work and manage such situations and there are people who take excuse of such situations gets away from their responsibility. It’s either way you see and take the path accordingly. If we shift from the mentality of why should I to the mindset of we shall do together as team then many adverse situations and conversations can be avoided, be it at professional level or personal level. #teamwork #empathy #teambuilding #professional #linkedin Sripal Jain (CA, CPA ) Kapil Kumar Jain Shruti Agarwal Simandhar CPA review Simandhar Education

Struggling to remain calm and focussed when working under pressure? ⭐️ We all strive to become a resilient performer. Someone who at times of pressure performs exceptionally well and overcomes challenge with confidence. But why is this so important? Well, one reason is because it is a strength and behaviour that is sought out in many industries. Conversely, it is also a life skill. Being faced with challenges and still having the ability to overcome this and and maintain a positive attitude is something that will not only enable success in your professional lives but also your personal! From the insights achieved from my own experiences, there are a few ways to develop your capability and ensuring you can become a resilient performer too. 1. ⏰ Reflect on a time when you showed resilience. It sounds simple but it works. 2. 🤔 What helped you in that situation you were in? Was it reflection? was it asking for help? Was it following a certain plan? Self-reflection will help you understand what helped you before. 3. 💪🏼What can you draw from that situation to use in future scenarios and come out stronger ? 4. 📊 As you begin a new challenge, consider what obstacles may arise before they do! This will enable you to prepare strategies to help you, not only cope, but maintain a positive attitude 😁 and still deliver high quality results 📈 ✅. Using this method will help you to take the challenging situations in your stride with confidence. A situation I often reflect back to in times of need is when I was told I could not pursue an education in Law or a career due to my grades and my background - by a careers advisor. I sought help, extra classes, mentoring, studied harder and managed to overcome this barrier with resilience. That is why it is a great strength to have. Resilience does not mean you are impenetrable, it means you have the ability to overcome challenges that may disappoint you and still overcome them. It is human to feel dissapointed or see an obstacle as a setback, but it is empowering to take control and not allow that obstacle to define your success or your hard work 🫡. I hope this helps! #resilience #careeradvice #careers #KPMG

Happy Birthday to me (well to E Corbett Consulting Ltd)! Today marks the 5th anniversary since our incorporation as a private company, and what an amazing 5 years it has been. When I started, I didn’t have a strategy or a plan (yes, I get the irony!). I fell into consulting as the job I was in wasn’t making me happy. I needed something different, so I resigned with nothing to go to. As I reflect on the past 5 years, I am full of gratitude for the support and collaboration that has been key to my success. I have been privileged to work with amazing people, make new friends, and learn continually. I want to say thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way (no names you should know who you are). Huge thanks to my fabulous clients. Your trust, loyalty, and partnerships are the key to success, and it is an honour to work with such great organisations and individuals. To my friends and those who have stepped into my professional life through networking and LinkedIn, thank you for your ongoing support, encouragement, and engagement. Your insights and shared experiences keep me learning and give me the confidence to try new things. And finally, a big thank you to Tony, my behind-the-scenes cheerleader, who continues to support, encourage, and inspire me. I'll stop now before it turns into an awkward awards speech, but I want to leave you with one thought. Life is too short to stay in a job that doesn't make you happy. If you're not happy, then make a change. #Success #5Years #HappyBirthday #Change
