I rewrote a job description today. I’ve been looking for a local college to partner with. ⫸ We want to help their career students. ⫸ And we hope to help fill our jobs that don’t require experience. So I rewrote the JD with the college job board in mind. You know, trying to ensure they could understand what they’d really be doing. Then I thought, “Wait, why don’t we write all the JDs like they’re for college students?” ⫸simplified ⫸spell it all out PS Whaddayathink? Surprisingly, it’s not a perfect GPA or a spectacular resume… “One of the things we really look for is joy” As James Miller, former Dean of Admissions at Brown University, explains, sometimes adults take the joy out of things.
