Disability Pride Month is here! ⭐️ This month, we honor the history, diversity, struggles, and achievements of people with disabilities. It is also a reminder of the importance of advocating for greater inclusivity and amplifying the voices of those in the community to end stigmas surrounding disabilities. Every election, we have the opportunity to elect officials and vote for policies that better support our communities. By working together and making our voices heard, we can create a more inclusive and equitable society for all. ❤️💪🏾 #DisabilityPrideMonth #InclusionMatters #RockTheVote

October is Disability Awareness Month. Let’s use this time to reflect on the importance of creating an inclusive world for everyone. Challenge stereotypes, dismantle barriers, and foster a society where disability is seen as a part of human diversity. Remember, inclusion isn't a privilege; it's a fundamental human right. Still, there are few months left for Disability Pride Month in July, don't just talk about disability as an abstract concept you sympathize with. Work with disabled people and organizations to actually bring their needs to life. It's one thing to talk. It's another to develop policies, products, and programs that make a difference. #DisabilityPrideMonth #DisabilityInclusion #DisabilityRights #Equity #Accessibility

Accessibility imperative! As we mark the Blindness Awareness Week, let's embrace the diversity of abilities and perspectives within our communities. As Helen Keller, author and disability rights advocate once said, “The only thing worse than being blind is having sight but no vision.” We, at Project Z, are aiming to create an inclusive community, where every voice is not just heard, but actively sought out and respected at every stage of the decision-making process. How to foster an all-inclusive community? 💡Prioritise empathy 💡Embrace unique perspectives 💡Design spaces that are accessible to all 💡Create communities where diversity blossoms As we champion inclusivity, let's ensure that persons with disabilities (PWD) feel safe, respected, and empowered.

Great post, Debra Ruh ! I couldn't agree more! - It's essential to bridge the gap between words and actions (James 1 v 22) when it comes to working with people with disabilities and organizations. - Talk is important for raising awareness and starting conversations, but the real impact lies in developing tangible solutions that address their specific needs. - By actively collaborating with these individuals and organizations, we can gain valuable insights into their challenges and aspirations. - This understanding allows us to develop inclusive policies, design accessible products, and create meaningful programs that truly make a difference in their lives. - It's about empowering and enabling them to thrive in every aspect of life, whether it's education, health, employment, or social inclusion. - Together, we can create a more equitable and accessible world for everyone. #disabilityinclusion #actionandnottalkonly

One in four Canadian adults currently lives with a disability, according to Statistics Canada. The barrieres they face affect your employees success in their jobs, and your customers expereince with your organizations. Education, awareness and action are key to breaking down barriers. #DisabilityPrideMonth, #DiversityEquityInclusion

As we kick off October, let's recognize National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Advocating for inclusivity and respect for all individuals is crucial. Positive dialogue begins with awareness, sharing personal stories, and supporting organizations uplifting voices in the disability community. Holding leaders accountable for their words and actions is key to fostering respect. Recent rhetoric from Trump targeting people with disabilities is concerning. No pushback from other elected Republicans. How can awareness combat pure hatred when followers are incited to hate? This undermines efforts to reduce unemployment and lift individuals with disabilities out of poverty, highlighting the real impact of politics. #Disability #OurAbility #Politics
