It's an interesting observation. Elections often reflect a complex interplay of factors, including governance performance, public perception, and voter behavior. While some may prioritize community interests over national ones, it's crucial for all citizens to recognize the significance of their vote in shaping the future of their country. Every vote counts towards building a better nation. Despite a leader's achievements, election outcomes may surprise. Various factors like regional dynamics, coalition politics, and voter sentiments may have influence results. Just my perspective, others obsevations may be different.

Standing for Democracy and Accountability. Today, I had the privilege to testify before the Wisconsin Elections Commission, representing All Voting is Local Action and over 1,800 Wisconsinites who stand for free and fair elections. We are calling for the immediate resignation of Bob Spindell from the Wisconsin Elections Commission. His actions as a 2020 fake elector and his alarming remarks celebrating voter suppression in Black and Brown communities betray the trust that our elections are built on. As a mother and a proud Wisconsinite, I believe that every voter, regardless of race or political party, deserves respect and representation. Bob Spindell has failed in this responsibility, and today we made it clear: Wisconsinites deserve better. Together, we’re holding our leaders accountable and pushing for a more equitable democracy. #ProtectOurVote #FreeAndFairElections #DemocracyInAction #AccountabilityMatters #ResignBobSpindell #AllVotingisLocalAction

PBS Newshour has a survey regarding the presidential elections. It's less than 10 questions. From their email newsletter: "So, we want to refocus part of the 2024 conversation. Expand it to those unhappy with the landscape in general. People who do not like the choices in this political deja vu. There are a few words that might describe people we mean. Disillusioned. Disappointed. Dissatisfied. Discontented. But not disconnected. Our hope is to find these kinds of voters and use NewsHour platforms to connect the stories and thoughts of people around the country who loathe this repeat of the 2020 ballot. This includes many types of voters, including those who are: Undecided over how to vote Decided, but uncomfortable with their likely vote Struggling with whether to vote Wishing both parties had chosen different candidates We want to check in with these voters regularly for the next few months." https://lnkd.in/gETAXzuj

In a year with 70 elections across the globe, which information sources will be most influential in shaping the outcomes? This chart from The Washington Post, looking at US voters, provides some insight. While younger and older generations rely on friends and family almost equally, the level of trust placed in all other forms of information reduces with age. For those on the campaign trail in 2024, this raises an interesting question on how to reach and influence older voters.
