BitePharma Fellowship update: Week 3 Thank you to Farzad Heidari, Ph.D (Pharmacology), for sharing his knowledge of global regulatory environments and post-market surveillance. I learned about some of the challenges of the drug approval process and strategies to overcome them. This workshop helped to fill in the gaps in my knowledge of post-market surveillance. You monitor not only a drug's safety but also the patient's quality of life, the drug's cost-effectiveness, and the drug's real-world effectiveness compared to clinical trials. Thank you to Victor Lopes for his interactive session on the mindset of a leader. As a leader, adapting your communication style, showing empathy, and reflecting on your learning are crucial. This workshop has further emphasised the significance of emotional intelligence, a concept we delved into during Week 1. I intend to develop these skills in my role as a manager and in any future roles I take on.

Thrilled to share insights from Day 5 of the transformative workshop on Conduct of Preclinical Research with Ethical Practices & Bio-Medical Waste Management, hosted at Lovely Professional University from April 17 to 23, 2024! Mr.Sukriti Vishwas, Associate Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, LPU, facilitated an enriching hands-on training session on Mendeley reference software. Participants delved into Mendeley's functionalities, honing their reference management skills to streamline their research workflow and enhance productivity. Concurrently, Dr. Navneet Khurana , Professor at the School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, LPU, led an engaging hands-on training session on Collection of different samples for preclinical research. You could say that research has become a passion and a love. It's been a few days since I received some good news, and I'm happy and proud to announce that I've been selected to take part in the IPSF's 2nd global research project laboratory. The 2nd Global Research Lab, led by the IPSF - International Pharmaceutical Students' Federation through Pharmaceutical Sciences Initiatives, is an international scientific project aimed at empowering IPSF students and young professionals like me in Pharmacy to engage in impactful research and further their professional development. it's a project that is divided into two phases: Phase 1: Educational webinar series Phase 2: Mentoring phase Special thanks to Sama Ghozlan and Kareem Arafat and the whole team for their leadership and expertise in putting together such a great project. I am grateful and privileged to have had the opportunity to learn from experts in the field.  I'm really excited about this project, the chance to learn, relearn and unlearn and gain valuable experience.
