Is holiday season arriving early in 2024? Majority of US Retailers are prepared with Halloween Collection but are the consumers ready for the holiday buying yet? While U.S. retailers are fully prepared for Halloween 2024 with their seasonal collections, consumer readiness for holiday shopping is showing mixed signals. On one hand, consumer spending intentions for the holidays are somewhat cautious due to ongoing concerns about the economy, particularly inflation. Many consumers are focusing on essential purchases and are being selective about where they spend their money. However, there is also a noticeable trend of consumers planning to "splurge" on certain categories, especially travel, food, and wellness, reflecting a desire to enjoy life despite economic challenges.
