On June 7th, our summer interns and their mentors joined forces with the Roc Solid Foundation to sponsor a special build for a brave 3-year-old battling leukemia. Together, our team transformed his backyard into a playground paradise.  Seeing the new playset, the family was overjoyed and immediately got to business playing. “It was an unforgettable day filled with hard work, teamwork, and countless smiles. I think our efforts not only brought joy and hope but helped provide a safe haven for him and his family to heal and create cherished memories," said Betsy Treece, Training and Development Coordinator at Rodgers. Roc Solid’s Play it Forward program invites sponsor groups to build custom playsets in the backyards of kids fighting cancer. Led by Roc Solid build leaders, these are organized team-building events inviting sponsor groups to come together for a morning of volunteering. The playset is built in just a few hours, followed by a reveal to the child’s family. Thank you to the Roc Solid Foundation for connecting us with this family and giving us the opportunity to build a space where kids can do what they love most – play! #CommunityWithCare #OurPassionIsBuilding
