In our latest episode Howard Klein and I interview Iola Hughes from Rho Motion about their outlook for battery demand in 2024. EV and ESS demand remains robust in their view - this should underpin #lithium demand and prices for the coming year.

The first Neuralink patient demonstrated gaming skills on a recent podcast. This achievement highlights the potential of Neuralink's brain-machine interface technology to transform how we interact with digital environments. The future of human-machine interaction is becoming increasingly tangible. #Neuralink#Neuroscience#Technology#Innovationhttps://lnkd.in/dnauyQak

In the short span of 12 months we went from AI-Powered chatbots to AI Calling Agents that can respond over the phone in real time.
This evolution is not just a step forward in customer service; it represents a giant leap in how AI is reshaping the business world. It is no longer an option but a necessity for businesses to adopt AI wherever possible.
Last week, I was invited to speak to some current Master's students in Drexel's Digital Media program. I was honored to hear that several grad students have read my 2022 thesis, 'HANDiMATE: Digital Puppeteering Using a Hand Depth Sensor for Animation,' and are even considering using the same methodology I did in my dissertation...
This made me remember I never publicly posted about it, so here goes! My Master's thesis on using a Hand Depth Sensor input method (Leap Motion Controller) for real-time 3D puppetry is available to view through PDF on ProQuest. You can also check it out in this post and watch my Zoom thesis defense linked below.
I used Maya and Unreal Engine to test my input method setup and compared its user intuitiveness, learning curve, and cost to other input methods for 3D previsualization: keyboard and mouse and motion capture.
A big part of my research is accessibility, so my paper includes steps to replicate the input method setup.
A huge thank you to the incredible faculty in Drexel's Digital Media department and my committee: Nick Jushchyshyn, Emil Polyak, and Blanca Heurtas-Agnew.
I can't wait to continue my research for this project!
