Two Factor Authentication (2FA) is NOT ENOUGH. AT&T just had a major data breach, affecting likely more than 100 million people including AT&T customer phone numbers and the phone numbers of the people they called or texted. Knowing only your phone number, malicious actors can execute a form of identity theft known as SIM swapping. By claiming your number, they can receive any calls or texts to that number, rendering 2FA useless. If you receive calls or text to verify your identity before a bank transaction, you are vulnerable in the event of SIM swapping (which is on the rise). Our authentication service called A-Cert® is completely safe from SIM swapping as users will no longer rely on phone numbers or codes for authentication, but rather their own human physiology. Our A-Cert® service ties the user to the device, as their physical presence is needed for authentication. A-Cert® authenticates with the user’s Neuroprint®, a live signal generated from the user’s neuromuscular activity. The Neuroprint® is akin to a stable 1 million-character long password (that you don’t have to remember), meaning it cannot be shared with others or be replicated by AI. Neuroprint® frictionlessly authenticates as the user holds the device, and it is security-first by not leveraging a database or the cloud.
