What I Learnt From 7 Years of Borrowing Power Research 💡 ⭐ Borrowing amounts have changed A LOT between 2017-2024. Big downs, big ups. ⭐ If you ask your bank/broker 'how much can i borrow?', the answer will be very different depending on the year you ask! ⭐ House price volatility in Sydney is closely correlated with point 1 above. ⭐ Each time the direction of borrowing powers change, so too has the direction of house prices. ⭐ Tax cuts, rate cuts and potential changes to lending can MATERIALLY change the amount Aussie's can borrow. ⭐ In fact, if most economists predictions come to light, there could be a 25-35% increase in borrowing powers in the years ahead.
