Ansible is victim of its own success. Again! The need for automation across the enterprise is obvious, and it is becoming even more mission critical by the day. The foundation of Ansible Automation Platform -our supported offering for automating your IT- rests on many community projects. One of those projects is AWX. AWX is a brilliant piece of engineering, but design choices made in 2013 just do not scale anymore in 2024. The landscape has changed and we want to push innovation further and faster. So just like in 2019 when we decided to split up Ansible Core and introduced Ansible collections, we need to act now, in the sake of innovation.
