Dr. King’s vision for equality was about closing the divides that keep people from opportunity — divides that still exist today, including the digital divide. This is where our work to ‘Build Gigabit America’ makes a difference. From building fiber in more rural and remote locations to participating in our Broadband for Good program, we’re using our fiber technology to connect underserved communities and help close that gap.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. dedicated his life to serving others and bridging the divides that separate us. To honor Dr. King’s legacy, we continue to work towards a better, more connected future where everyone has the opportunity to succeed. #MLKDay2025 #BuildingGigabitAmerica

Reflecting on Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s Legacy Today, I find myself pausing to reflect on the profound legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. His dream—rooted in equality, justice, and compassion—continues to challenge and inspire us all. Dr. King reminded us that “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” As someone who values connection, community, and taking intentional action, his words are a call to remember that the work toward equity and inclusion isn’t something we commemorate once a year—it’s a daily effort to live with purpose and integrity. For me, this day isn’t just about looking back. It’s about asking, “What am I doing today to live out these values?” Whether it’s through conversations that foster understanding, initiatives that uplift marginalized voices, or simply teaching my children about the power of love and nonviolence, I know that small actions ripple into meaningful change. So today, I challenge myself—and all of us—to take a moment to honor his legacy by embodying it. Share your voice. Stand up for what is right. Create spaces where others feel seen, heard, and valued. How will you celebrate the legacy of Dr. King today? Let’s inspire one another by sharing small but impactful ways we can build a better tomorrow.
