What a smart move. Everyone knows there's plenty of options out there. Welcome to the "dark side". LOL! Isn't that what some companies try to convince you? Everyone also knows the truth. Hey, are you thinking about making the move? 🤔 Maybe you're feeling "stuck" out of fear... 😨 Fear of losing your clients... ✔ Truth is, you made those clients for the company. ✔ The right ones will follow you. There are plenty out there who need you. Fear of losing deferred compensation... 😱 ✔ Truth is, your company is keeping the lion share of all comp. They're holding back some of the comp you earned. They're giving it as quarterly bonuses to the top producers. They're stuffing some in deferred comp. ✔ Truth is, we don't get that kind of bonus here. We don't have deferred comp. Why? Because we get to keep the entire amount we earned right away. Fear of losing your agents... 😨 ✔ Come on man! Don't you know about the leadership skills of our National Recruiting Director? 🤗 Lyn Godfrey Or her drive? Or her heart? There is no quit. ✔ Truth is, your company is keeping the overwrites on their agents on your team when the agent leaves. You're an employee. ⁉ Why try to train 10 agents a month to watch 9 leave only to give the clients and overrides on the 9 agents' clients to the company? Insert whatever fear you're choosing to believe. Fear is a liar. How do you handle a prospect at the kitchen table in this situation? Use that tactic on yourself. 🏡✨Today's the Day✨🏡 As we await a crucial decision on our latest HMO planning application, it's a perfect moment to address some myths directly from community Facebook conversations and messages I get sent directly to my messenger. Let's set the record straight: Myth 1: "HMOs are unhygienic." 🚫🧼 Reality: Our approach to co-living emphasises hygiene and cleanliness. With en-suite bathrooms and scheduled cleanings, our properties are maintained impeccably. Proper management ensures a clean, welcoming environment for everyone.  I’ve a family of 6 and a dog living in the same house, does that make us unhygienic? (no answers needed). Myth 2: "All HMO Residents Have Criminal Records." 🚫⚖️ Reality: The stereotype that HMOs are a haven for those with criminal records couldn’t be further from the truth. In our properties, a detailed vetting process ensures the community is made up of respectful, law-abiding residents. To date, none of our housemates have disclosed a criminal record. It’s important to challenge the unfair stigma that unfairly shadows HMO residents. While some individuals may indeed be seeking a second chance, it’s unjust to broadly paint all HMO residents with the same brush. Everyone’s story is different, and many are simply looking for a safe, welcoming place to call home. Let's focus on individual merit rather than unfounded stereotypes. Myth 3: "HMOs cause parking issues and antisocial behaviour." 🚫🚗🚫🎉 Reality: Concerns about parking and social conduct aren’t unique to HMOs. We're proactive in managing these aspects, ensuring our tenants and properties add value to the neighbourhood. Through responsible management and community cooperation, we aim to be good neighbours, contributing positively to our area. In light of today’s planning court, these myths need addressing. HMOs, when managed with care and respect, offer more than just accommodation; they provide supportive, community-driven living spaces. 🏠💖 As we stand by for the decision, let's continue to champion the true potential of HMOs. Day 30 of a #sharednarrative for #Plymouth: A specific shout out for Belong in Plymouth! Plymouth is one of 5 projects nationwide that are exploring how to tackle complex health inequalities. In Plymouth we are developing a network called Belong in Plymouth; connecting individuals who aspire to make Plymouth a city where no one feels forgotten. The sheer scale and complexity of isolation and its effects on health mean we know we need to explore and search for answers together - NHS, Statutory Services, the VCSE and individual citizens. This includes deepening our understanding of the system and context together through listening and conversations with communities where they are heard as respected peers. So far we have spent £345,000 and with this we have: Collected 120 conversations resulting in 790+ fragments, 53 factors, 12 themes, 1 map: https://buff.ly/47WjD3x We have 13 young people leading their own work and 22 local residents participating in co-creation processes. Engaged with 399 participants through wider events (e.g. Neighbourhood democracy, Hope in the Heart, Health is Wealth), 198 through sensemaking workshops, 105 through conversation processing workshops. A lead aggregator tends to be referral site or service that takes your loved one's information and fires it off to people they're contracted with in the area that might meet their needs; a placement agent or Senior Care Advisory agent takes the time to sit down with the client, assess their needs, and make recommendations on communities. While they sound pretty similar, a placement agent also coordinates, schedules, and accompanies their client on the tours of communities, helping to streamline the experience and reduce the stress families feel when trying to navigate this system. They also tend to be local, in the communities they work with on a constant basis. It's important to make sure you understand the differences when looking for help finding a place for your loved one.
