Did you know that the Rabbit Pyrogen Test is currently undergoing phase out in the European Pharmacopeia? 💭 But there is still a long road ahead to international harmonization. Justine Watkins presented her ongoing work in a poster session reviewing this transition at the #NVT2024Congress. Her work analyzes the historical, scientific, and regulatory drivers and barriers that have made this transition successful but slow. How do you propose we accelerate this transition?💡
So happy I was able to share for the first time what I have been (and still am) working on for the past few months at the #NVT2024 conference. Also, thank you to all those that came by my poster to have a chat. And I invite anyone interested in the AFSA transition, #Pyrogenicity or #BatchSafetyTesting to reach out to me; I think a big part of transitioning away from animal models starts with open and honest dialogue from diverse perspectives🗣️⭐️ I am looking forward to finalizing this work in collaboration with #Elsivier and #PCRM and develop my first publication as a first author. Stay tuned for more news about this upcoming project!💫 #SAFE #LetsMakeAnimalTestingObsolete #UtrechtUniversity
