We’re on borrowed time from August 3rd when it comes to using up the Earth’s resources for 2023. August 2nd 2023, was Earth Overshoot Day: the day that marks when humanity has used-up all of the natural resources that Earth can regenerate in a year. For Ireland, we hit that date on 21st April this year, and it was 15th May for Italy. This means we would need more than two planets to continue consuming at this rate. We need to be collectively working towards a future where we don't have to borrow from the planet's resources and can live in harmony with our environment and ecosystems. Every action has an impact, even the smallest. Are you ready for a new challenge? We’re on borrowed time from today - August 3rd - when it comes to using up the Earth’s resources for 2023. Yesterday, August 2nd 2023, was Earth Overshoot Day - the day that marks when humanity has used-up all of the natural resources that Earth can regenerate in a year. For the UK, we hit that date on 19th May this year. It’s more important than ever that we’re collectively working towards a future where we don't have to borrow from the planet's resources and can live in harmony with our environment. #EarthOvershootDay #MoveTheDate #ClimateChange
