How do you deal with your weaknesses? Personally, I attack them until they are weaknesses no longer. When I graduated Sheridan College, I felt I did not know how to draw animals as well as I did people, so I wrote a picture book about animals. Working with computers seemed annoying and challenging. I learned HTML and how to build my own website from scratch. My work did not fit trade publishing parameters, I became a publisher. Another weakness I see in my own work is short, simple, comic stories. I know I’m good at epic novels, but creating something short… So, I finally started my own slice of life comic. Then it occurred to be, some of the stories could work as short storyboard reels and help me flush out my storyboarding portfolio. (I always love when a work can be used for multiple purposes.) I tried recreating Saad Ibn Sayed Bhaiya's introduction video from four years ago (https://lnkd.in/gY8hB9Ei). I combined some of my scenes with a few from your video. Please forgive any mistakes and let me know what you think bhaiya. In this session, I faced the most challenges with sound design, and visualizing the scenes was the biggest hurdle. This is my first time working with a storyboard using a diary and pen. Previously, I would just copy videos from YouTube and paste them. I used to be scared of the idea of storyboarding, wondering how people do it and imagine everything. But in the end, I conquered my fear, made some rough sketches, wrote down a few ideas, and here it is.😊 #motiongraphics #motiondesigner #shapeanimation
