Three year ago, I was lost... Today, I have a clear purpose that fires me up. At 22, I started my entrepreneurial journey. But being a marketer forever terrified me. 🔺 Overthinking 🔺 Analysis paralysis 🔺 Functional freeze responses Filled my days with self-doubt, making entrepreneurship more stressful than necessary. A coach reminded me that everything is impermanent, including our businesses. They evolve, and the market can lead us to unexpected places. Instead of obsessing, choose a purpose and let it grow. My purpose is to help people I admire who are changing lives in conscious ways. I do this by building a passionate email community, with people to transform their lives for the better. Although my main purpose has been being a father I wish I had and give young men what I longed for. Don't overthink your purpose. Keep it simple and let it evolve. What's your purpose?

As entrepreneurs, it’s so easy for work to become our identity. You risk the farm for this, you pour your life out, and the company often even has your name on it. It’s tempting when things are going well to feel great about ourselves… And conversely, when they’re not, to feel that all is lost. Just a reminder: Find something better than your work to be the foundation of your identity. Business comes and goes. And none of us are as special as we think we are. There are more important things in the world. (For example: faith, family, making a difference in our community…) If the best thing we have to celebrate is that we’ve added $1M in revenue… We need to find more meaningful and lasting things to care about.
