I had recently went on a trip to visit my in-laws over the holiday and visited a Buc-ee’s gas station on the way. If you have never been I would highly recommend it. The gas station was packed full of cars. There had to be over one hundred cars either getting gas or shopping. What makes this Buc-ee’s place so great? Buc-ee’s invests in its employees and delivers a premium service that has been historically mediocre. The employees were great and the facility was incredible. It is known for having the cleanest gas station bathrooms, offers different food options, and sells other merchandise. So why am I going crazy for this gas station? This is what I think most businesses lack today. The company has invested so much money in its facility and its employees that it will take some time to become profitable, but that is what separates Buc-ee’s from its competition. Do not sacrifice quality for profit. Short term gain is minuscule compared to your reputation to long term customers. When your business delivers high quality services/ products and great customer service you will always succeed.
