Our youngest children are our future and we must invest to ensure we encourage them to investigate, believe in their individual ability to progress. That is our job in early years. We need to encourage our learners to believe in themselves and celebrate their individual achievements. In the material world we love our children sometimes are not encouraged to develop each individual child. individual stage of development but at the stage adults believe they should aspire to. We as a society push them when they are not ready. Let us enjoy our children being children who love being outdoors or indoors. Love getting muddy and enjoying life or being part of the nursery family they are enjoying and learning from. Do not push our children to what we believe is their goal. Let us enjoy observing and evaluating their achievements at their pace of lesrning. So rewarding, trust me. This is what encourages young people to attend school. Adults believing in their ability. Academically or hands on. Just enjoy their childhood and celebrate the Modern Apprenticeship and encourage them to grow- grow at their speed.

Overall, the cash outlay on post-18 further education, higher education, and adult apprenticeships is around £27bn. Just 7% is spent on adult education. Even less is spent on Level 3 and below provision. A mere 2% of this £27bn is allocated to tailored learning for adults attending local community education and skills centres. Our residents with lower skills deserve better. The 'context' of work has changed drastically over the past few years and will continue to do so with the increasing importance on digital skills, the introduction of new technologies, the focus on new sectors like the green industries. Adult Community Education deserves better. Step2Skills #adulted

I write for me, my thoughts, my ideas, my experience. I want to share and in turn help you achieve success through positive leadership and education. If you think I can help, let’s chat.
When I went to school (a long time ago 🤣) much of my learning came from the knowledge and understanding of my teachers and from books, as a special treat we had the tv/video combination trolley. Today at school my son went on a trip to a local Manor House, dressed as a victorian boy, to learn about the life of a victorian servant. How much education has changed. Just because an apprenticeship isn’t the same as it was in your day, because like me you did ‘O’ levels and not GCSE’s doesn’t mean it’s less good. Just different. Instead look at the content and standard of learning necessary in order to achieve success. Does the course achieve your aims and what do you need to do to support your learner. Let me know if you need help.

Mismatches between the races of teachers and students significantly impede student achievements. However, aspiring teachers and school leaders from marginalized communities encounter challenges in affording preparation programs to obtain licensure or credentials. What if aspiring teachers could earn their credentials while working in their local schools—without having to pay for it? That's the idea behind the "grow your own" programs supported by the National Center for Grow Your Own (NCGYO). These programs are designed to break down financial barriers by offering paid internships and apprenticeships. This allows future educators to gain the necessary experience while also contributing to their communities. By engaging local partners, such as educational leaders, state agencies, and schools, these programs become sustainable and impactful. They also tap into federal workforce funding, like U.S. Labor Department grants, to support their initiatives. Building support from state legislators is crucial too, as it helps secure funding and ensures these programs can thrive. David Donaldson, founder of NCGYO, summed up the mission perfectly: "The long-term vision is that we will not stop until every child has not only the teacher they need, but deserve." Curious about how these programs work and how they can benefit your community? Visit ncgyo.org to learn more about how we can revolutionize teacher preparation and ensure every child has the educator they deserve.

While the U.S. Departments of Education and Labor set forth new federal guidance for states and districts creating registered teacher apprenticeship programs at the start of the 2023 school year, experience by those implementing these programs and researchers looking at elements that contribute to success offer practical guidance for those initially investigating this approach and its fit for their educational context. Such practical insights are only likely to grow as these types of programs increased nationwide from 2 to 21 between 2022 and 2023. Have you been involved in establishing such as program? If so, what advice would you have for those just getting started? https://lnkd.in/egie3eFu #edreform #k12 #EdLeaders American Institutes for Research

Enterprise Partnerships Manager - Ofsted Outstanding, Expert training provider, Tech and Digital Apprenticeships
Are you looking for a training provider that you can trust to deliver great results and provide your learners with the best experience? Have you and your apprentices previously been let down and you're looking for a change? We get asked all the time, what percentage of our learners successfully complete and achieve their apprenticeship. There are so many important factors when looking for the right training provider to work with but ultimately, you want to ensure your learners will have the best support system, great training and at the end, have achieved the best possible grade they can. Wouldn't we all want the same for our children in school and college? Looking at our results from the current financial year, I am proud to know that 66% of our learners have achieved a higher grade; accounting for Merit and Distinction. Overall we have seen 94% of our learners pass which in itself is brilliant. To see that 348 learners have achieved a Distinction in the last 7 months just makes our jobs even more rewarding. There is so much credit due for the learners as they absolutely wouldn't achieve these grades without all their hard work and dedication. But it too wouldn't be possible without the support, training and guidance in which our learners and employers receive. Special mention to our coaches! As a provider we care, and our learners come first in everything 💙

William Penterman, a legislator from Wisconsin, has introduced a new bill aimed at addressing the educator shortage by establishing a teacher apprenticeship program. This proposed legislation seeks to revolutionize the pathway for aspiring educators by introducing a "2+2" model, allowing individuals to teach after completing two years of general studies followed by two years of specialized training. Currently, prospective teachers are required to undergo a four-year education program along with an additional semester of student teaching to obtain their teaching license. The proposed bill could potentially streamline the process and offer alternative routes to licensure. Across the nation, teacher apprenticeship initiatives have garnered backing from both sides of the aisle. In July 2023, the Biden administration disclosed the availability of over $65 million through the U.S. Department of Labor to support teacher apprenticeship programs across states.
