Rosenfeld Media’s Post

Rosenfeld Media reposted this

IT'S HERE! Weighing in at a hefty 294 pages, I am proud to report that Leah Buley and my 2nd Edition of THE USER EXPERIENCE TEAM OF ONE is indeed a no-stone-unturned survival guide for #UX and #ProductDesign practitioners of all kinds. I'm going to put my humility aside, friends and say this: if you're just starting out or are transitioning from another industry, I've got two words START HERE. There is simply no better, clearer, simpler or more practical guide to all you need to know about this job. That was true of Leah's original release a decade ago — and I've done my level best to make sure it's absolutely true now, after ten years of seismic changes in all we do — and all the ways we do it. Absolutely beyond honored to have my name on this — and deeply grateful to both Rosenfeld Media and Leah for the opportunity to do it. And to have Jesse James Garrett write the foreword is truly a full-circle moment for me I still can't quite get my head around. I'll be sharing more in the days and weeks to come — but you can learn more and and save 15% on pre-orders right here: https://lnkd.in/eB55wU4j

**My newly reworked bible! Can’t wait!** (I’m not religious, but you get what I mean.) 🤩🙌 I loved the first edition because it shows you a pragmatic approach to getting things done when they aren’t running perfectly, as often assumed in theory. It guides you on how to make progress even when there’s no time, no budget, and no full support for UX, etc. Life isn’t perfect. The company you work for probably isn’t either. That’s why I’ve loved Leah Buley’s approach right from the start. And I’ve been following you, Joe Natoli ever since I began my journey as a UX designer because you also have the rare talent of making things easy to understand. Which, from my humble perspective, is the foundation of good UX design. Thank you both!

I appreciate you Joe! I’ve recently been binge watching your training videos on Udemy!

When I moved from development to design, this book was my bootcamp.

I almost forgot this was coming out. Good thing I had this pre-ordered, so I'll be keeping an eye on the mail.

I can't believe it's 12 years since I attended Leah's workshop at UX London (and then bought the book). Can't wait for the physical copy but already giving the e-pub a read - thank you both, we UX:ers always need a little inspiration and support from the community!

This is one of the few UX books I consistently recommend, will definitely update the library.

Congrats, man and thank you for, well, being you. You help so many.

Yay! I can’t wait to dig in.
