This is a great example of how Veo can be used to drive player development. Dorking Wanderers U12s exemplifies how accessible technology can elevate youth football, not only by creating opportunities for detailed analysis, interactive learning, and confidence-building, but also through empowering coaches, players, and parents to contribute meaningfully to player development. Thank you Surrey FA for demonstrating how clubs within Surrey are maximising their Veo to benefit both teams and player development. https://lnkd.in/eA_7NAFA

Speed training should include a competitive aspect because it drives athletes to push their limits. Competition breeds motivation, pushing individuals to give their best effort. When athletes compete against each other or the clock, they are more likely to train with intensity and focus, resulting in improved speed and performance. The desire to win or beat personal records fuels progress and ensures that speed training remains effective and engaging. All of our speed programming includes timed sprints or competitive games so maximum effort and maximum results are achieved. So, embrace the competitive spirit in speed training to unlock your full potential! 🏃💨💪 Skolfield Sports Performance, everything you need to reach the next level. https://lnkd.in/evVEPjKr #SpeedTraining #CompetitiveEdge #skolfieldsportsperformance #parisispeedschool

Sports Should Be Fun! The best 8-year-old isn’t always the best 12-year-old, the best 12-year-old isn’t always the best 16-year-old, and the best 16-year-old isn’t always the best 20-year-old player. Players develop at different rates. 75% of boys and girls who start playing at age 8 drop out by age 14 so keep encouraging them to compete. You never know which late bloomer might become the next All-Star. https://lnkd.in/g7-EyXKG Please like and share. #pbsccs #baseballdevelopment

🎾 Sticking with my post on player development! Here's a thought-provoking debate: Should National Governing Bodies (NGBs) leave talents in their local environments with their coaches, or centralise them? Andy raises a crucial point—he succeeded by making his own decision to move despite available resources, prioritising individual needs over being part of a system. Yet, some players lack essential resources ( money, facilities ). So, what's the solution? Do we bring players into centralised systems, support them locally, or encourage them to join international academies? Myself and Áine MacNamara Dublin City University investigated factors that influence producing players, taking a sample of 2 nations, the article will be published soon with some ideas on this topic. Leisure sports for children is when you use sports related skills to have fun. High Performance sports for kids is when you use fun and enjoyable methods to obtain and improve skill needed to compete. High performance sports targets will be achieved by using both approaches. And actually interconnect them. If we as development coaches don't enjoy the process, they won't have fun, if they won't have fun then they won't enjoy it. As a result the kids won't improve. So...enjoy all the moments you never know what future champions are under your umbrella. #etsswicklow #educatetogether #Wicklow #volleyballireland

A simple way to evaluate how inclusive our play sessions are: the participation rate/index. As part of training our HUNGERBALL Facilitators aka Game Masters, we set participation targets in terms of how many of those present actually step inside the arena and have a go, and if rotated out, go back in line for another turn. As a general guideline, a 80% participation suggests an inclusive delivery. On the other hand, if 30% or more sit it out, we encourage coaches to consider what may have got in the way and how to creatively improve at future events. This means that we may have a really inclusive event with only 5 or 6 participants going at it for 2 full hours while at other events we may have several dozens in but still fall short of including those who need us the most e.g. those who may be a bit shy or anxious to start with and may need extra support or encouragement. Or it may be that the games need to be adapted to lower the skill treshhold for being competent and equalise the playfield. As facilitators, when we hear feedback along the lines eg “so good to see thise who don’t usually engage with others or play sport playing for hours” that’s music to our ears and validation that our activity is truly inclusive, as would be reflected in the participation index. #hungerball #findyourgame #thepowerofplay #neverstopplaying
