It is incredible how much the corrosion in the price levels of Chemical Compounds and Ores destroyed the Value in just over 10 months of listed #Lithium Industry companies. Brazil 🇧🇷 does not have any Chemical Producer Listed on the Stock Exchange. However, it is worth highlighting the two Sector Giants that maintain their leadership positions in Market Value. 🇱🇷🇱🇷 Albemarle Corporation 🇨🇱🇱🇷 SQM In Third Position in Market Value appears 🇨🇳🇨🇳 Qinghai Salt Lake Industry Co., Ltd., occupying a position that was previously occupied by 🇨🇳🇨🇳 GANFENG LITHIUM CO., LTD GanfengLithium, which in turn was followed by 🇨🇳🇦🇺 Tianqi Lithium Corporation and 🇦🇺🇱🇷 Arcadium Lithium. A few years ago, as part of my lithium sector coverage, where I focused on Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile S.A. (SQM) and Albemarle Corporation (ALB), I came across Sigma Lithium Corporation (NASDAQ:SGML), which was pre-operational and found it expensive given the long lead time to production. Since then, the LCE (Lithium Carbonate Equivalent) price shot up and crashed on demand/supply imbalances, along with Sigma’s share price. Thus, I decided to revisit the investment case. I found a highly productive and profitable company with great potential growth that the market continues to overvalue on M&A expectations. Sigma Lithium is delivering on production, margins, and cash flow despite low lithium prices. Problem: Consensus estimates may be overly optimistic and call for lithium prices to double to reach a price target of US$26. The stock price seems expensive on conservative lithium price estimates that I value at US$10.5 YE25. Nonetheless, as a low cost producer in a friendly jurisdiction, it is an attractive asset for Chinese auto, battery or lithium producers.
