𝐐𝐧𝐀 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐁𝐨𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬! Meet Lorna Vythilingum, Membership Director. 𝐐𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧: What strategies do you plan to implement to foster a strong and engaged Rotaract community ? 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫: First of all, I would like to create a welcoming atmosphere for new members by organising team-building activities and pairing them with mentors or fellow members. I believe this would make them more comfortable which would encourage them to interact with other Rotaract members to form personal connections. To further engage everyone in our community, I would like to collaborate with other Rotary clubs for mentorship programmes, community service projects and networking opportunities. This will not only contribute to the personal and professional growth of our members, but will also strengthen our relationship with other clubs. In this regard, it would foster a sense of purpose and shared values that will appeal to our members. Moreover, I intend to establish a feedback system to better understand member preferences, concerns, and suggestions so as to improve our service. Lastly, I intend to emphasize on the acknowledgement and appreciation of our members for their contributions through awards, certificates, or public recognition during meetings. I believe this would convey the sense of community ownership and engagement which is one of the values that our Rotaract preaches.

[August - Membership and New Club Development Month 👯♀️👯♂️] Why did you choose to be a part of Rotary? What solidifies your commitment to stay? Since your journey with Rotary began, what impacts have you fostered and achievements have you made? The month of August stands as a testament to our dedication, shining a spotlight on our members and the transformative work we accomplish in communities worldwide. It’s an opportune moment to reflect on how individuals can deeply engage with and contribute to the Rotary mission. Rotary is constantly advocating for membership growth and the broadening of our fellowship circle. Potential members are within our reach, scattered across various walks of life. It's essential to initiate meaningful conversations with qualified business and professional leaders about the myriad benefits that come with joining Rotary. Ensuring that club meetings, service endeavors, and fellowship gatherings are not only engaging and enjoyable but also deeply fulfilling, is paramount. By introducing more hands-on and impactful projects, we give our members a tangible sense of making a lasting difference. For clubs to flourish, we must adopt a proactive approach - seeking out new members, nurturing existing ones, and fostering the establishment of new clubs within the community. Together, let's amplify our collective capacity for doing good, making each act of service a stepping stone towards a better world. #Rotary #MagicOfRotary3450 #RID3450 #MembershipAndNewClubDevelopmentMonth

My inspiration for this inaugural event came from my deep connection to professional sports and the respect I hold for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, which honors NFL athletes for their excellence both on the field and in their communities. In the same spirit, the CHANGE AGENTS OF PHOENIX event was created to celebrate real estate professionals who excel in their field while also making a lasting impact beyond their transactions. In real estate, where authenticity is key, I believe greatness extends far beyond exceptional performance in transactions. True greatness enriches an agent’s work and purpose—it embodies the ability to think beyond individual deals, to give back, and to positively influence the communities that support them. My mission is to elevate real estate and showcase how the industry, through its unique relationship capital, can serve at a much greater capacity—transforming lives and communities through our everyday business responsibilities. A select few outstanding local agents, nominated and voted on by my event partners and industry peers, have been named this year’s CHANGE AGENTS for exemplifying these core values: - Create Impact Beyond Transactions: Using their success to drive positive change. - Embody Core Values: Integrity, purpose-driven action, and collaboration. - Lead with Inspiration:Their stories inspire meaningful service. - Serve the Phoenix Metro: Dedicated to improving their local communities. - Engage Online: Amplifying their impact through a strong online presence. Their stories are inspiring, and we can’t wait to walk alongside them and honor their dedication and lasting contributions. Next month’s event will be an exclusive, private gathering held at a custom spec home still under construction, thoughtfully planned in partnership with my builder partner Living Stone Builders and Brian North of North&Co. This intimate setting will provide the perfect backdrop to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our honorees and the genesis of what’s to come. #changeagent #changeagentsofphx #realestate #homesforgood #phoenix #scottsdale #paradisevalley #arizona Real https://lnkd.in/gg4BSY6v

We couldn’t resist sharing some great insights from our teammate, Hope Sudol! When asked, “What’s the most rewarding part of working with multiple associations?” she shared some amazing takeaways. "Collaborating with clients across various associations has provided me with a diverse range of perspectives. Each industry presents its own unique challenges and problem-solving approaches, offering valuable insights into different methodologies." She also shared how long-term engagements have been particularly fulfilling: "One notable reward has been the opportunity to witness and contribute to the positive outcomes generated by these unique strategies. Watching associations grow and evolve over time has been immensely gratifying." "Engaging with a broad spectrum of associations keeps me continually engaged and learning. Each new project introduces fresh challenges and opportunities, ensuring my work remains dynamic and rewarding." These are just a few of our favorite quotes from her response! How do you ensure that your organization benefits from diverse perspectives in your partnerships? Let us know in the comments!

🎉 Grateful to everyone who contributed at the IxDA Atlanta Discussion Group meetup on Tuesday! We explored the significance of workshops in UX design, highlighting their value in several scenarios: Tackling Complexity: When challenges escalate in complexity, having a subject matter expert onboard is invaluable, enabling the team to navigate intricate issues effectively. Embracing Diverse Perspectives: Diverse viewpoints from team members and users fosters richer insights and innovative solutions. Securing Stakeholder Buy-in: UX workshops serve as catalysts for securing stakeholder buy-in, pivotal for propelling projects forward. Fostering Creativity: UX workshops ignite creativity, sparking novel approaches and out-of-the-box thinking. Building Strong Teams: Beyond project outcomes, UX workshops double up as tools for team building, forging stronger bonds and collaborative spirit amongst team members. How do you use workshops to improve your design process? #IxDA #UXDesign #Collaboration #Innovation #Teamwork
