What a smart move. Everyone knows there's plenty of options out there. Welcome to the "dark side". LOL! Isn't that what some companies try to convince you? Everyone also knows the truth. Hey, are you thinking about making the move? 🤔 Maybe you're feeling "stuck" out of fear... 😨 Fear of losing your clients... ✔ Truth is, you made those clients for the company. ✔ The right ones will follow you. There are plenty out there who need you. Fear of losing deferred compensation... 😱 ✔ Truth is, your company is keeping the lion share of all comp. They're holding back some of the comp you earned. They're giving it as quarterly bonuses to the top producers. They're stuffing some in deferred comp. ✔ Truth is, we don't get that kind of bonus here. We don't have deferred comp. Why? Because we get to keep the entire amount we earned right away. Fear of losing your agents... 😨 ✔ Come on man! Don't you know about the leadership skills of our National Recruiting Director? 🤗 Lyn Godfrey Or her drive? Or her heart? There is no quit. ✔ Truth is, your company is keeping the overwrites on their agents on your team when the agent leaves. You're an employee. ⁉ Why try to train 10 agents a month to watch 9 leave only to give the clients and overrides on the 9 agents' clients to the company? Insert whatever fear you're choosing to believe. Fear is a liar. How do you handle a prospect at the kitchen table in this situation? Use that tactic on yourself. Don't let fear manage your career! 😎

These past two years have been amazing - full of personal and professional growth, amazing partners and new relationships, and working with an all-star team! I can't wait to see what the next two years bring for Creating Community Consulting! #organizationalculture #communitydriven #collaboration #communitygrowth
Part of what makes community-driven work meaningful is the people who we have the privilege to work with. On Friday, June 28th, we celebrated a big milestone – 2 years of collaboration, grassroots community projects, and a growing network of partners across North Dakota and Minnesota. Our friends over at the Frazee-Vergas Forum captured the spirit of the afternoon and our awe in this moment of growth: https://lnkd.in/e9VjvVuV We couldn’t have done this without an amazing team, one that keeps expanding! This month, we welcome four new members to the Creating Community Consulting Family, in a new space in downtown Frazee: Jamie Crabtree, Heather Ware Nelson, Shelly Blauert, and Amy Kilde. They join Karen Dowing and Sophia Strand, alongside Karen Pifher in the amazing community work happening throughout Becker County! Please stop by the office to say hello if you find yourself in the area (especially on a Friday from 2:30-5:30pm) and stay tuned as we share more about our team’s focus areas of work with us this summer and beyond! #CommunityDriven #Grassroots #Collaboration #TeamExpansion #CommunityProjects #Networking #LocalLeadership #CommunityGrowth #NorthDakota #Minnesota #Frazee #BeckerCounty #CommunityConsulting #NewBeginnings #Celebration #CommunityImpact #JoinUs #WelcomeNewMembers #CreatingCommunity #CommunityPartners

Local government CEOs can be loosely split into 2 groups: The first consists of those simply filling a role as a cutting and thrusting cost reducer as they climb the corporate ladder. They are not out of place in the private sector. This group have little or no interest in local government or local democracy. Councillors are at best an occupational hazard who must be tolerated, but largely ignored. The second group is composed of individuals who GET local government, understanding the potential it has to transform the lives of citizens. In this group, these CEOs support and seek to enhance the role of the mayor and councillors as the legitimate voice of the community. In losing Barbara McKerrow, the local government sector is losing a leader firmly rooted in the latter category. A huge gap to fill.
This is my boss. The best one I've ever had - and I've had some great ones. And today Barbara McKerrow has announced to Wellington City Council that she will not pursue a further contract as CE of the Council once her current term concludes on 1 March 2025. After 40 years in local government, it's time for her to pursue other interests. Barbara is smart, strategic, and incredibly hard working. She puts people first, can find a clear way through complex projects where others struggle, sees around every corner, is generous in sharing her wisdom and cares deeply about Wellington City Council and our beautiful city. I think it says a lot that during her tenure, our staff engagement scores have continued to grow, whilst managing increased workloads and navigating one of the most political working environments in Aotearoa. She brought me on board two years ago to take a strategic approach to how we manage important external partners and ensure the city's economic wellbeing was being considered during an intense period of revitalisation. It's a role I love, and her leadership is a big part of that. Thank you Barbara. You're just awesome.

As we celebrate #APTeamsDay during #RPMCareersWeek, we take a moment to appreciate every member of our on-site teams. Today’s breakfast is just a token of thanks for their tremendous dedication to creating communities where residents do more than just reside—they thrive.
