If you are on the parade route: You will probably be busy with folks before the parade, then you will be dead once the duck boats are in sight and a mad rush after the boats are no longer visible. Many of these people just want a restroom and water, how you choose to deal with that is important. Parade day they may be a nuisance but the rest of the year they or their connections are your guests have a plan let your team know what that plan is but be prepared to adapt. If you are not on the parade route but are on a pedestrian route near a T stop or on the way to or from one: You too will have to deal with the post-parade traffic at what could be an odd time for your team, you may fill up with folks looking to have a "light lunch" and watch the parade on the TV's if you have them. Those folks may linger and have an extra beverage or two. Be prepared for an odd flow of traffic through the day as folks tire of being in the sun and start to head back to their home turf. Have a plan for how the day shift team will deal with folks who have had one too many Gansetts, this is something they may not have the experience that your night side team has. CAUSE AND EFFECT: ROOT CAUSE ANALYSIS In this real world, any effect always has a cause or causes, i.e. factors that contribute to a certain outcome. The problems we are seeing now are EFFECTS OF CAUSES that were not addressed or had not been foreseen or just due to plain negligence of our leaders. Increasing government ministry or increasing police force are 'band-aid' solutions which will not alleviate the problems. Here, I will state only few factors or causes of the 'effects' we are seeing now in our major cities: *Vagrancy Act neglected. No control over rural-urban migration *No Strict Act on Population Control or Birthrate, i.e. how many children each parent must have basing on certain criteria they must meet *Poor Census Records (if only we have a proper database of people, the government can align it's resources accordingly) *Poor/No proper urban planning of streets, avenues, towns, cities, etc... *Deeply-rooted Public Servants Corruption (like bribery, Nepotism, Regionalism, Money Laundering, Misappropriation of public funds,etc...). When there is corruption at high level, the people suffer (in terms of less employment opportunities, poor government services, inflation, etc...) so people start to rebel. *Outdated School Curriculum System producing more dropouts than more 'human resources' *Laziness by public servants. We don't need research to confirm this. Just go to any provincial or local government offices and see how the attitude of public servants towards their work. They can come in to work at 10am, go lunch at 12pm-3pm, come back at 3:30pm and go home at 4pm or 5pm. Unlike in the past where we have KIAPS who do patrols, today the public servants they hardly do any 'patrols' to update census and do assessments of communities. NB: This are some factors contributing to the problems, which I believe if addressed, will at least alleviate the problems. The southern chain—known for its signature chicken fingers (130 calories apiece), Texas toast (140 calories), crinkle-cut fries (390 calories), and famous Cane's sauce (190 calories)—is on pace to open a whopping 90 new locations this year, QSR Magazine reported.
