PUBLIC SAFETY LEADER | EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT | PROJECT MANAGEMENT | ENVIRONMENTAL, SAFETY & HEALTH | OPERATIONS
📢 Oklahoma City Fire, I would like to commend you on your forward-thinking initiative and offer an additional suggestion to enhance its impact. While your idea of designating a portion of your team to support first responders is commendable, I propose that this support extends beyond emergency situations. Recognizing that the well-being of our first responders is just as crucial as the individuals they serve, I believe it is essential to create a dedicated team solely focused on the comprehensive care and support of these brave individuals. This team would be responsible for providing a range of assistance, encompassing physical and mental health resources, training and development programs, and the establishment of a robust support network. This is my novel theory of which I’ve coined “Continuous Therapeutic Management.” By going beyond immediate emergencies and allocating resources to address the broader needs of first responders, you demonstrate a profound commitment to their overall well-being. This dedicated team can play a pivotal role in ensuring that our first responders receive the necessary support to thrive in their critical roles. By prioritizing their health and creating a supportive environment, you not only enhance their individual well-being but also empower them to continue serving our community effectively. I applaud your decision to take this important step toward supporting first responders, and I believe that by implementing this suggestion, you will create a work culture that truly values and prioritizes the physical and mental health of those who selflessly protect and serve our community. This is a significant stride in creating a sustainable and resilient workforce that will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the overall safety and well-being of our great city. Kudos to you for leading by example and setting the bar high for others to follow! 👏👏 If you already have this program established then I digress. 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾 #FirstRespondersMatter #SupportOurHeroes #HealthAndWellness #CommunitySafety #PrioritizeWellbeing #ResilientWorkforce #LeadingByExample #CaringForOurHeroes #InvestInFirstResponderHealth #SafetyFirst #OklahomaCityFire #TakingAction #MakingADifference Laschelle Bradley LCSW 💙🙏🏾🙏🏾💪🏾💪🏾 Chief Richard Kelley I salute 🫡 🫡🫡🫡

We are thrilled to announce the launch of our IndieGoGo campaign for a pioneering mental health program tailored specifically for teens and families. In today's world, the need for accessible and timely mental health resources has never been more critical. However, the unfortunate reality is that many individuals, especially teenagers and their families, face significant barriers when seeking therapy, including long wait times and limited availability. 1 in 5 teens attempt suicide every year, and underserved communities have even more staggering statistics. Recognizing this urgent need, we have developed a revolutionary program designed to provide support to those who cannot afford to wait. Our program offers a comprehensive toolkit of evidence-based strategies, interactive modules, and personalized guidance to empower teens and families in managing their mental well-being effectively. By backing our IndieGoGo campaign, you will not only help us bring this much-needed program to life but also contribute to the broader movement of destigmatizing mental health and making resources more accessible to all. Here's how you can get involved: 1. Support Us: Visit our IndieGoGo campaign page and make a pledge to support our cause. Every contribution, no matter how small, makes a significant difference in empowering teens and families on their mental health journey. Even forwarding this to a few friends will help us tremendously. 2. Spread the Word: Share our campaign with your network, friends, and family. Your voice has the power to amplify our message and reach those who may benefit from our program the most. 3. Stay Connected: Follow us on TikTok @sisumentalwellness or Linkedin to stay updated on our progress and milestones. Your ongoing support means the world to us, and we would love to have you join us every step of the way. Together, we can make a tangible difference in the lives of countless teens and families struggling with mental health challenges. Thank you for your unwavering support and commitment to this crucial cause. Thank you for your help- link below. https://lnkd.in/guHjSXB3 #mentalhealthsupport #mentalhealthmatters #mentalhealth

Thinking about writing a “Field Guide for Evidence-based Mental Healthcare Solutions” as a quick reference for our senior United States Department of Defense leaders. 🤷 What does “Evidence-based” even mean? 🤷♀️ How do I ensure my decision has outsized positive effect? 🤷♂️ Can I really do anything to eliminate suicide and destructive behaviors in my organization? If there’s interest in these sorts of questions, I’ll team up with Leah Blain, PhD to provide super clear metrics and process on how to assess solutions in the mental healthcare space and beyond.
