Dear Minister, would you like to hand out some tastings of Norwegian Seafood? “Of course!” was the answer from the Minister of Fisheries and Ocean Polices, Marianne Sivertsen Næss. This week she took the opportunity to hand out tastings of top-quality Norwegian seafood in the supermarket Deco Gourmet while she was in Rome for the Committee on Fisheries meeting at the FAO headquarters 🐟 At the supermarket she got a guided tour by Luigi Colucci and his colleagues to see the wide variety of seafood offered before she put on the apron and started to serve Norwegian stockfish, baccalà and salmon to both hungry shoppers and journalists 📢 We also arranged a press lunch where national, business and food magazines and newspapers joined. The Minister together with a group from the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Fisheries and the Norwegian Ambassador to Italy, Johan Vibe answered questions related to topics such as seafood exports, sustainability, as well as the strong and long-lasting relations between Norway and Italy when it comes to seafood.
