Awesome docudrama series.... I love alternate truths to already stories cemented in our TV and Movie history... I have 3 feature films and 3 docudrama/thrillers in development and would love to make a limited series 5-10 out of them like this show.. The production quality for this western is actually pretty good for a docudrama.. My subject matters are: 1. "Dr.H" Americas first serial killer ( In a court of law) 2. "Deadly Dolly" Americas richest and deadliest prostitute in the early 1900's her life story lawsuit is the reason we have Public domain/ (The right to be forgotten laws) 3. "BLACK BAG INC" The secret surveillance company that took down the NY Mafia in the mid to late 1980's ..Ref: FEAR CITY on Netflix... If any producer(s) are interested to see our development and come in with co production then we have interested investors if a MG or distribution agreement is secured. Actors and directors already attached. But willing to negotiate if producers /production have other options available.

https://lnkd.in/dqqz36wu Extracts Eddie Murphy has been so famous for so long, occupying such a lofty place in the cultural landscape, that it can be easy to overlook just how game-changing a figure he actually is. Let’s start, as Murphy’s career did, with standup. There had been star comics before — Steve Martin, Richard Pryor — but none exploded with anything like Murphy’s speed or intensity. Swaggering, magnetic and able to bounce between sweet personal storytelling and controversial, defiantly un-P.C. material, he was, and forgive me for mixing disciplines, a rock star. “Eddie Murphy: Raw,” released in 1987 when he was only 26, is the highest-grossing standup-comedy film ever — still. The scale of his success, and the fact he achieved it without dulling his edge, redefined what a comedian could do, paving the way for the likes of Kevin Hart and Chris Rock. He also, of course, cast his spell on TV. When Murphy arrived at “Saturday Night Live” in 1980, the show was thought to be on the verge of cancellation. Through sheer force of charisma as well as instantly iconic, hilariously unpredictable recurring characters like his crotchety Gumby and the Mr. Rogers parody Mr. Robinson, Murphy brought the show back to life. A highly plausible argument can be made that without him, television’s most reliable comedy-star-making machine might not have made it to a 10th anniversary, let alone be nearing its 50th. But Murphy made his greatest mark in movies, where he reached new heights, for comedians and Black performers, of popularity and bankability. He helped pioneer the action-comedy genre with his quippy, improvisational-feeling performances in movies like “Beverly Hills Cop” and “48 Hrs.” And then in the mid-1990s, after a bit of a career dip, he transitioned to family-friendly films like “Shrek” and “The Nutty Professor” (one of multiple comedies in which Murphy virtuosically played wildly different characters), and continued to score giant hits. All of which is to say that American pop culture looked different after Eddie Murphy came along. Now he’s returning to the character that sent his career into the stratosphere with “Beverly Hills Cop: Axel F,” which comes to Netflix on July 3. It arrives 40 years after the first film in the series, in which Murphy stars as the wisecracking detective Axel Foley. He is clearly comfortable with the role — and with himself. Do you understand what you mean to comedians like Kevin Hart and Dave Chappelle and Chris Rock and Chris Tucker? Well, I didn’t lay down a path. They took their own path. The comic used to be the sidekick, the comic was the opening act, and I changed it to where the comic can be the main attraction. They thought of comics one way, and it was like, no, a comic could sell out the arena, and a comic could be in hundred-million-dollar movies. All of that changed.

Art Thoughts: The Late Show with John Oliver I have discovered this show recently and simply had to speak to the level of complexity and intelligence this show carries with it without creating too much of a high-thought profile entry point. Of course, this show does not color my political opinions or affiliations. In my humble opinion, if you are not doing the deep research and rely on parties present sales pitches and comedians, you probably shouldn’t be voting. That’s my soapbox on that, real quick. This Art Thought specifically adheres to the brilliance of the writing on this show. It carries with it the ability to bring the important stories of the week to a viewer through a singular point of focus and bring viewers in on the jokes. It creates the effect of making us all feel prepared for the punchline and then caught off guard by another seed that had been sown. Oliver surpasses expectations as a comedian with a team of star writers and subverts our expectations in terms of what comedy has been and can be. I find myself frequently wrapped up in the storytelling while having part of my mind doing the mental acrobatics that never push too hard to keep up with the references and callbacks being used in quick succession. One of my favorite things that Oliver succeeds in is his acknowledgment of his own privilege in a way that is self-deprecating but doesn’t seek to villainize the hand he was dealt no matter how much of an advantage it is for him and people like him. His ability to let a joke land, sit, and be absorbed is something that I am picking up on and trying to incorporate into my own comedic skillset and it is always a pleasure tuning in, learning something, and coming face to face with the reality that we all share this terrifying, beautiful world and have a right and responsibility to be tuned in to what happens all around us with this show being a great origin point for further research and understanding of some of the more challenging topics of the day. Yours faithfully, Qavah. #review #johnoliver #standup #comic #comedy #hbo #art #artist #thoughts #create #write #observe #learn
