It was a pleasure to join the Isuzu UTE Australia mid-year town hall event, where we had the opportunity to provide our Major National Partner with deeper insights into the wide range of services we offer. We are honoured to have had Dr Tim Driscoll, Elizabeth Doran and Dr Stevie Dilley represent our organisation for the panel discussion. They shared their unique roles, the challenges they face, and their motivation to work for the RFDS. This was a fantastic opportunity to raise awareness of the many services we deliver in Australia. Thank you to the Isuzu UTE team for having us! Photo credit: Isuzu UTE Australia

A Beautiful Farewell by Mercedes to Sir Lewis Hamilton: A Lesson for the Maritime World ⚓ Watching Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS Formula One Team honour Lewis Hamilton’s more than two decades of loyalty, even knowing he is joining their rivals for the future, was truly inspiring. It wasn’t just a send-off but it was a celebration of his life long journey and contributions to the team-efforts. Now, imagine if every shipping company did the same for their #seafarers. Many of us dedicate decades to the maritime industry, braving storms, staying away from families, and navigating global challenges. Loyalty like this deserves recognition, not just for the years served but for the sacrifices made. I know of a couple of Masters and Chief Engineers who gave more than 25 years to one company with decades of service, sweat, and dedication. Yet, when they retired, the only people who knew about their retirement were their families. No acknowledgment from the company, no farewell, no gratitude. It’s disheartening to think that such commitment can go unnoticed. A thoughtful send-off is a gesture of gratitude that can leave an indelible mark, reminding us of the human connection behind our work and could inspire the new generation to understand the bond of dedication & Loyalty. It’s not just about a certificate or a handshake; it’s about honouring the heart and soul behind those years of service. To all shipping companies: Let’s learn from Mercedes & Celebrate your Seafarers’ loyalty, whether they’re stepping ashore for new adventures or continuing their maritime journeys elsewhere.⚓🌊 #SeafarersLife #Loyalty #MaritimeIndustry #EmployeeRecognition #Inspiration https://lnkd.in/dVJtFKAk
