Guess who’s back, back again? Glenn Grant is back, tell a friend!
We interrupt your regularly scheduled LinkedIn post to inform you all that I've rejoined Mission as Senior VP of Professional Services!
Some of you may remember me as the CEO and founder of G2 Tech Group, one of the three companies acquired to form Mission back in 2017/2018. It's great to be back in the band, and I can’t wait to rock out some new jams with the awesome people at Mission once again.
🧐 What is something that most of your colleagues don’t know about you?
- My first PC was the Texas Instruments TI-99/4A, my grandmother purchased it for me in 1982 when I was 5 years old. We primarily played games on it like Alpine and Hunt the Wumpus, however it also came with TI BASIC. (IYKYK, and you probably feel old now.) This gave me my first taste in computing and apparently left an impression on me that would one day turn into a career.
🌟 What motivated you to return to Mission after your time away?
- I spent much of my time away as a business coach, advising founders on how to scale and increase the value of their businesses. Over time I realized just how much I missed being part of that journey myself and decided to seek an opportunity where I could be more hands-on again.
Mission presented the perfect opportunity - I knew the team, I was already an investor and board member, and the company had reached a stage where I felt I could provide significant value.
🚀 What excites you the most about being back?
- The opportunity to work with so many great people every day. It's invigorating to collaborate with many members of my old team who are still here, as well as new faces who've joined since. In other words, getting the band back together. ;)
🤩 What excites you most about your role as SVP of Professional Services at Mission?
- The challenge of scaling a professional services organization, with a 100% remote workforce, while nurturing a culture of comradery and team. Collaboration and experimentation feeds the fire of innovation, and I am unapologetically driven to break down the Zoom-walls and get the entire department working together on a daily basis. I know not everyone is going to embrace it, however I think we’re better together, and it’s the next best thing to RTO.
🤖 What industry trends are you most excited about, and how will they impact businesses?
- Without a doubt, the industry trend I'm most excited about is the rapid growth and integration of AI into cloud services. It’s an exciting time to be at the forefront of this transition, moving AI from experimentation to actual workloads on AWS that are transforming the business world. When I left, we were focused on managed cloud and cloud infrastructure. Returning to find this opportunity to innovate in the AI space on top of our existing cloud expertise is incredibly exciting. It opens up a whole new era of empowering customers to achieve things they couldn't imagine before on the AWS platform.

3moCongratulations! What a journey. I still recall my 1st visit to your office. We had a brain storming meet on building HR Circle.
