This summer, RP proudly supported Operation Gratitude, a remarkable organization dedicated to honoring military personnel and first responders. Operation Gratitude offers meaningful opportunities for individuals to express their appreciation, including sending care packages and heartfelt letters. Our partnership with Operation Gratitude began on the Fourth of July and continued through Labor Day, demonstrating our deep commitment to giving back to the military community. We were thrilled by the incredible participation from our team and their families in this initiative! A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to write a letter, draw a picture, and express their gratitude to brighten a service member’s day. We’re honored to support those who serve and have served. #OperationGratitude #VeteranOwned #GovCon #GivingBack

May is Military Appreciation Month, a time to honor and recognize the contributions and sacrifices of the men and women who have served in the U.S. Armed Forces. Every day, American service members and their families make the selfless decision to help defend our freedoms and safety around the globe. Military life often involves huge sacrifices – whether it’s relocating far from family and friends or service members’ spouses giving up their own careers to keep their family unit together. There are countless ways to show your appreciation and give back to our veterans, active military personnel and their families. One of the simplest ways of showing appreciation is to say, “thank you.” You might also consider giving a military spouse a hand in their day-to-day lives. If you know a deployed military family, why not drop off a meal, offer to babysit or take their dog for a walk? And if you’re a business owner, giving back can be as easy as providing a military discount. These small gestures can go a long way in supporting service members and their families. As a veteran myself, I understand the importance of support and camaraderie within the military community and I encourage you to join me in showing appreciation in whatever way you can, both this month and always. #MilitaryAppreciationMonth #MilitaryAppreciation #Veterans #SupportOurVeterans

On this #ArmedForcesDay, we salute the service members who stand ready to keep our nation safe. Nearly one in five team members have served in uniform or are the spouses, parents, children and friends of the military community. That lived mission experience and desire to continue to serve is core to our culture. So, we thank service members today, and every day!

I often post about how brands can connect with the military. What happens when the military reaches out to the local community? Airmen from Ellsworth Air Force Base (SD) volunteered around the Black Hills for the inaugural “Service before Self” day. Volunteer teams from Ellsworth Air Force Base’s 28th Bomb Wing scattered across Rapid City, helping out with housing construction projects in partnership with the Black Hills Area Habitat for Humanity as well as projects with the Youth and Family Services. People doing good work to make their local community better. Think there’s something a brand can bring to the table in that situation? #MilitaryMarketing #Military #marketing #Branding

Military life for spouses and partners of serving personnel is complex and challenging in equal measure. Regular postings across the UK and abroad resulting in both job and network losses, professional and private. Add into that equation the long-term deployments of their partners – on critical training exercises or dangerous military operations - life can be super tough. Spouses are left juggling numerous plates as they fight to keep the home fires burning and the wheels of military life turning. And if they still want to have a career alongside military life, well, that just takes everything up a few notches on the Difficulty Scale. But that’s where community comes in. Not your military wives’ choir or coffee morning type of community, something very, very different. A coworking community of like-minded individuals. Discover how the MCN is enabling its members to have careers, connecting them better to their peers and the wider Armed Forces community, and building a supportive community. https://ow.ly/zQQG50REgKk #MCN #coworking #militaryspouses #militarypartners #MilitaryCommunity #MilitaryNetwork #MilitaryCommunityNetwork #Community #Enablement #Connections #Networking #ArmedForcescommunity #Socialvalue Armed Forces Covenant Fund Trust Naval Families Federation (NFF) Army Families Federation (AFF) RAF Families Federation Sarah Stone

April presents us with an exceptional opportunity to honor the resilient hearts of military children. Although military children proudly embrace the term "military brat," many outside this lifestyle remain unaware of the experiences these children endure, both positive and negative. Annually, the Department of Defense collaborates with national, state, and local entities, including schools, military-support organizations, businesses, and private individuals, to honor military children and acknowledge their sacrifices. This recognition is particularly prominent every April during the Month of the Military Child. Established in 1986 by former Secretary of Defense Caspar Weinberger, the Month of the Military Child provides an opportunity for Americans to celebrate these children for their contributions on the home front and within their communities. According to the Department of Defense, over 1.6 million military children encounter distinct challenges and experiences due to their parents' service. These challenges may include relocating away from friends, enduring prolonged separations from parents, or witnessing their parents return home with physical or mental wounds. Among the 1.6 million military children, approximately 11,200 are offspring of Pennsylvania National Guardsmen. These children undergo similar struggles as those of active-duty service members' children but often lack access to equivalent programs, services, and community support. Did you know that during World War II, the U.S. military had to become unexpected experts in property management? 🏠 With so many service members deployed, the military took on the task of managing thousands of rental properties for families back home. They handled everything from tenant selection to maintenance, ensuring that military families had stable homes while their loved ones were away. This wartime necessity laid the groundwork for many modern property management practices, especially those tailored to military families! Beyond just managing properties, the military also developed comprehensive support systems to address the unique challenges faced by military families. These included financial assistance programs, counseling services, and community-building initiatives to foster a sense of stability and belonging. The experience gained during this period not only improved the quality of life for service members' families but also influenced civilian property management practices. Today, many property management companies continue to use these principles to provide specialized services for military personnel and their families, ensuring that they have reliable and supportive housing options. #WWII #MilitaryHistory #PropertyManagement #MilitaryFamilies #SupportOurTroops #HomeFront #HistoryFacts #CommunitySupport #Housing #MilitaryLife
