EASY BUY OPTIONS. When I designed the Rod Jack, I never thought about rod liners. Never seen one before. But working around the liners I see where the jack can still be a valuable asset to operators who run liners. With full sprays I think the biggest obstacle to break, is slipping clamps. If you are not slipping clamps, then I think some stuffing box damage is slowly happening. Slipping clamps will have you wasting valuable time changing rod packing. If you look after the equipment, maintenance will be few and far between. Grease the packing and longevity should be the case. If you're moving the Rod string every other day to break a gas locked pumps in a high oil/gas ratio, Or maybe you have fibreglass rods and need spacing. Do you have scale issues, and need to clean up the rods and pipe before it causes a stripping job? Do you need to start a inhibitor program coating rods and pipe? Lot of odd jobs for the Rod Jack. Are rod failures preventing you from reaching production targets? We collaborate with operators to minimize failures and enhance production using the Hi-Rise System™. In a recent case study, we addressed a dogleg severity of over 6 degrees at 1,700 feet and significant side loading, which led to rod part failure. Initially, the well experienced a rod part failure within 30 days of switching from ESP to rod lift. Our detailed analysis using a 25-foot interval gyro revealed severe wear and tear, prompting us to redesign the rod string and tubing configuration. The Hi-Rise System improvements: - Installation of continuous rod and lined tubing - Adjustment of the rod string to include 900 feet of fiberglass, 3,800 feet of continuous rod, 3,150 feet of conventional stick rod, and 500 feet of sinker bars - Implementation of 3,000 feet of lined tubing from 1,000 feet to 4,000 feet As a result, the well was operating successfully for over 550 days, proving the effectiveness of the Hi-Rise System in managing deviated wellbores and reducing rod failures. Using the Rod Jack will eliminate alot of the above. If you want to reduce production costs then the Rod Jack is what you need. IMO Do we still slip clamps today and scar up polish rods? Does it cause packing issues? I see the benefits over time, I have said this before, a maintenance crew could be trained up to run the Rod Jack. Once you try using the Rod Jack you won't go back. 😂 If taking 10 mins to build the Rod jack is more work than climbing up and down off the wellhead to work the top clamp is harder and safer, then I guess it makes sense to you. But people still get hurt today moving Rod strings with the pump jack.
