Portland was a good demonstration that we’re on the right track regarding taking Mahindra Racing back to the very top of #formulae. To be regularly in the duels (top 8 for qualifying) now shows the progress we’ve made this season. Sometimes in the races themselves things go your way and sometimes they don’t. That’s the very nature of competitive motorsport. But the underlying trend continues upwards and that’s credit to the whole team. Much more to come next season. Remember to register for the final town hall event in Adelaide at 6:30pm Wednesday 12th June. It could not be explained any better than how Vanessa Cheng has outlined in this short video. Parents and students of faith aligned schools seek a positive right of choice for education to be aligned to their beliefs, with clear protections for schools to employ and educate in line with religious and moral values. What is required? Legislative clarity is required to allow for faith institutions (be it schools or places of worship) the protection to teach and practice their religious and moral beliefs. To remove any doubt, its parents and students that make the choice of faith aligned schooling, and the choice is to be taught by a system that supports and is consistent with their faith and choice in morals and religious practice. Be it belief about spiritual matters or beliefs around identity. I sincerely pray that the existing government and future governments uphold existing religious freedom and expression. Unfortunately proposed changes will erode this religious freedom and diversity of choice for Parents and Students. A positive event to attend and support. https://lnkd.in/gJ6y3ZwP

We are thankful that AWRA’s Florida Chapter chose Sarasota for their upcoming meeting, which centers around the recovery of water quality in Sarasota Bay - how it got worse, how we figured out what had to be done, and the projects and programs that helped us meet (already!) our pollutant load reduction goal. Sarasota Bay is not nearly as big as other systems in Florida, but we have many challenges nonetheless. For example, Tampa Bay’s watershed is about 14 times bigger than Sarasota Bay’s, but it only has 3 to 4 times as many people living in it, compared to us. Take the population of Miami-Dade County and divide it by the size of Biscayne Bay’s watershed and we still have 3 times the number of people per square mile. Undisturbed natural lands only make up about 2% of our watershed. Yet our water quality is now better than it has been at any time over the last 10 years - not even including data from the drought year of 2023. How’d we pull it off? By speaking directly about the problems we faced, by being “biased towards action” and by having local elected officials who were as interested in turning our bay around as the scientists and engineers who worked to come up with the projects needed to bring this recovery about. #sarasotabay #waterquality #restoration
