Port Tampa Bay has resumed vessel operations and our port’s shipping channels are officially re-opened, with a 28' depth restriction. Throughout the storm, Port Tampa Bay coordinated with federal, state, and local agencies, as well as the maritime community, to respond to the impacts of Hurricane Helene. In coordination with the Port Heavy Weather Advisory Group, and following detailed assessments of the port, waterways, and channels, the U.S. Coast Guard has reopened the port and set the port condition to normal, with restrictions. Our hope is that the port's shipping channels will be functional at their full depths shortly. Port staff fully assessed the docks, wharfs, and terminals for safety. There will be changes to the following cruise schedules: Carnival Paradise, Royal Caribbean Serenade of the Seas, Royal Caribbean Grandeur of the Seas, Royal Caribbean Enchantment of the Seas and Margaritaville at Seas Islander. If you have any questions about a specific sailing, we recommend you contact your cruise line directly as all changes to itineraries will be communicated by your cruise line. The customer service lines for the impacted cruise lines are: Carnival Cruise Line: 1-800-764-7419 Margaritaville at Sea: 1-800-814-7100 Royal Caribbean International: 1-800-256-6649 Read more: https://loom.ly/QNvtN2c

Load posts rose last week, especially in the Southeast where freight was rescheduled in anticipation of Hurricane Helene. The destruction will continue to create more volatility in those markets, and our thoughts go out to those affected by the storm. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4aNf78i #DATTrendlines #TruckingIndustryTrends

Truckload rates cooled last week, with volumes dropping off due as Hurricane Milton made landfall. We can expect volumes to rise with recovery efforts. ➡️ https://bit.ly/4aNf78i #DATTrendlines #TruckingIndustryTrends

Severe weather wreaked havoc in parts of the South of Texas and northern Mexico starting last Wednesday. Tropical storm Alberto formed over the Western Gulf of Mexico, and though its center didn’t hit Texan soil, heavy rains called for the closing of marine traffic on the Corpus Christi Ship Channel past Wednesday, as published by FreightWaves. Northern Mexico was more affected. Rising waters forced the temporary closure of Altamira and Tampico ports, which reopened on Thursday with extended hours to compensate for the backlog of ships waiting to be processed. The city of Monterrey, in the state of Nuevo Leon, saw power outages and heavy flooding, which forced authorities to close several roads. Saltillo-Monterrey toll road was closed due to mudslides, forcing carriers to proceed with caution and seek other routes. Highway Nuevo Laredo-Monterrey also saw long truck lines due to an accident. According to Mike Burkhartt, vice president for Mexico at C.H. Robinson, Mexican and cross-border rail service were mostly unaffected, yet rain and wind slowed down the loading and unloading of containers at some yards, and one of the railroads temporarily closed their ramp in Monterrey. As more rain was expected during the weekend, slight delays might be seen for a few more days. +52 (81) 8174 8000 www.crossdock.mx #weatherdisruptions #landfreight #seafreight #crossbordertrade #internationaltrade #supplychainlogistics
