For me, Gandhi ji is a revered figure, and my habit of paying respects at his statues, cultivated since school days, remains unchanged. Even today, whenever I see his statue, my hands instinctively come together in a namaskaram mudra. Gandhi's teachings are timeless and relevant, guiding us toward good governance and societal harmony. His values are simple yet challenging to practice: - Non-Violence : Let's avoid harming any soul, knowingly or unknowingly. - Truth & Honesty :Embracing truthfulness and integrity in all aspects. - Simplicity : Embracing simplicity in thought and action. - Compassion : Cultivating empathy and sympathy. Today also marks the birth anniversary of Sri Lal Bahadur Shastri, India's second Prime Minister, known for his leadership and the iconic slogan "Jai Jawan Jai Kisan," emphasizing the importance of soldiers and farmers in nation-building. October 2nd is more than just a holiday; it's a day to draw inspiration from these visionary leaders.
