Attention customers feature is here you cannot run. We are going to be forced to do this. Let me be your person. They focus on critical aspects like the EV Transition, where the future is electric, and California ACT regulation mandates a shift to zero-emission. Municipalities and businesses must prepare for this shift now. Manufacturer Targets are another key focus area. Starting in 2025, truck manufacturers must meet ZEV sales targets across different classes, with targets increasing significantly by 2030 and 2035. Compliance Flexibilities allow manufacturers options to meet targets, including counting near zero-emission vehicle sales and early credit options. Pending Amendments are on the horizon, with proposed changes by CARB and California planning to adopt them. Key amendments include credit timing and extending deficit make-up periods. Strategic Planning is essential. Evaluate fleet and infrastructure needs to prepare for the 2025 transition and stay ahead. ♻️ Repost this if you want to learn more about our EV units. #ElectricVehicles #Regulations #Compliance Call me on your next rental quote lease or purchase 909-637-7894

Yesterday the B.C. government further weakened the provincial EV rebate program. With the most aggressive EV sales mandate in North America at 90% by 2030, B.C. needs strong purchase incentives and widespread charging infrastructure to help more people make the switch to electric. This changes, combined with a growing EV charging infrastructure gap, all but guarantees the government's mandated targets will not be met with serious negative consequences for consumers, industry, and the provincial economy. Agree with the headline conclusions on reducing #car emissions the European Court of Auditors published today: #EV sales are growing, but not fast enough. Just 4,3% of the rolling stock has been replaced in 2023, meaning it takes over 23 years! to fully renew the fleet. And we're not at 100% EV sales yet of course. https://lnkd.in/ey4T4aXc Find more on electrification here: https://lnkd.in/g6FQb9z

I'm in The Times today for Raconteur's Electric Business report writing about how the government's policy flip-flipping on the EV rollout is affecting carmakers strategies. Some key things: - Not all carmakers are upset by the ban delay, despite the uncertainty it creates, though many are. - It's important to note that the quotas for EV car sales haven't changed despite the ICE ban date change. - Strategies will remain geared towards full electrification but the pace of change will be different - and carmakers could even lobby for the deadline to be pushed back further. - A key concern for the industry now is boosting EV sales to meet the mandates (but early evidence ban delay is already impacting sales) and cutting costs - but how will they do this? We discuss a few potential ways. You can read the report in The Times newspaper or online here: https://lnkd.in/gUk7a6Zb #EV #energytransition #NetZero

I've been thinking of the interaction of vehicle costs and socioeconomic factors (income, single-family vs. apartment, one vs multiple vehicles etc.) and the impact on the total cost of ownership. That goes one step further from the popular methodology of looking at the cost at a vehicle scale, and projecting the rapid transition to EVs when cost parity is achieved with internal combustion engines, on average. This new study goes that extra step, combining socioeconomic factors and projecting the true TCO implications for California. Also, it calculates the cost of transition to EVs as imposed by the ACC 2.0 rule, in the absence of mitigating policies. The findings are summarized here, of course link to full study provided as well. #mobilitynotes #tco #electricvehicles https://lnkd.in/ehsuYBjg

Did you know that 18% of all cars sold in 2023 were electric, up from 14% in 2022? Increased performance, government subsidies, and a more extensive choice have all encouraged EV market growth both in the UK and across the globe! Electric Vehicle Charging Specialist and Energy Consultant. Helping businesses, fleets, commercial, holiday homes, agricultural and residential customers install EV charge points across the UK. See what's possible.
At the end of 2016, just 0.4% of all new vehicles registered were electric. By the end of last year, this had risen to 16.5%. The figures released by Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders (SMMT) this week show the evolution of transport is continuing; the UK is adopting electric vehicles (EVs). As last month's House of Lords report said 'Consumer confidence is critical to secure a successful transition. So, as well as material progress... the Government must do more to convey a positive vision of the EV transition.' Let's hope that today's Spring Budget reflects that! Did you know fixing electric vehicles can be pricier and more time-consuming than traditional gas vehicles? On average, it's 56% more expensive and takes 25% longer. The proposed 2032 #EVmandate stipulates that two-thirds of all vehicles sold in America must be electric. However, it's crucial to acknowledge the broader concerns at hand. Let’s hit the brakes before rushing into this timeline. Read more of the top concerns: savingvehiclechoice.com.

Vincentric has released the 2024 Vincentric US EV Cost of Ownership Analysis to help consumers and automotive industry professionals understand the EV market. The study compared 41 EVs to similar gasoline-powered alternatives to determine the ownership cost advantages and disadvantages of EVs. The study found that 49% (20 of 41) of the EVs analyzed had lower ownership costs than their gasoline alternatives. The analysis also investigated the performance of EVs for fuel, maintenance, and other costs, as well as the environmental impact of EVs versus gasoline vehicles. To see which EVs are cost-effective, download the full study at the link below.
