Collaboration in Design and continually enhancing what can become a landmark, that brings joy, and brings us closer to completion. It starts with a vision and collective thoughts. https://lnkd.in/gUg-ipez

I recently read a story about the construction of the Cologne Cathedral in Germany. From start to finish, it took 600 years to construct this architectural masterpiece. 600 years! This story got me thinking about our lives today. We're used to crafting one-year, five-year, or—for the highly ambitious—ten-year visions for the future. But how many of us have a 600-year vision for our businesses? I'm willing to bet none. We just aren't accustomed to thinking on that grand of a scale. Strategic thinking requires stretching the imagination to its outer limits, imagining the best possible future, and establishing plans today that set the trajectory for the realization of that vision.

There’s no greater power than that of a person who feels truly supported. AIA Colorado, the National Organization of Minority Architects (NOMA), Denver Public Schools and University of Colorado Denver have all teamed up to offer Design Like a Girl, a design workshop program for middle-school girls that teaches and supports them as they explore the design world. The program consists of three full-day workshops in fall, winter, and spring that pair participating students with adult mentors in the design industry. Participants will come away with more confidence in themselves and an awareness of possible careers in design. We love this feedback! 💚 Many strategists and researchers like Laura take the Place Futures course as a way to understand the fundamentals of placemaking with a strategic approach and a futures mindset. Maybe you're interested in transitioning to a career in place and the built environment? Perhaps you're simply intrigued by the role of places in culture? Or maybe you've been working in urbanism and placemaking but want to sharpen your insight and futuring skills? Check out the course here https://lnkd.in/ebZsVAcq #placemaking #placefutures #strategycourses
I’m happy to share that I’ve completed Place Futures at the School of Critical Design. Huge thank you to Rosanna Vitiello, Gemma Jones and J. Paul Neeley for putting together such an imaginative, thought-provoking course.

A huge thank you for a transformative lecture! We explored various strategic design directions like upstream (abstract) and downstream (concrete) approaches, and discussed the roles of different sectors in this field including product and experience, advertising, environmental design, and change management. Adding my favorite advice from Kailyn and Dan: “SPELL CHECK”
Kailyn Moore & Dan Pratt stopped by class at Parsons School of Design - The New School to give a talk on Strategic Design. Our favorite part? Advice we wish we had when we were starting out. Some highlights: - Develop sensitive cultural antennae ✨ - Get comfy with ambiguity 🤷 - Find your voice, and hold it loosely 💭

✨ The significance of neuro-inclusive design. One of our modulyss Talks series has shed light on the transformative potential of neuro-inclusive design in architecture. #Neurodiversity #InclusiveDesign #modulyssTalks #ArchitecturalInnovation #PositiveChange #SupportAllChildren
In these times, it’s more crucial than ever to consider the significance of neuro-inclusive design. As many parents and children receive school results, we witness the impact of supportive environments. However, difficult summer holidays filled with self-doubt don’t reflect children’s abilities; rather, they highlight society’s failure to provide adequate support. One of our modulyss Talks series has shed light on the transformative potential of neuro-inclusive design in architecture. It’s time for brands together with the A&D community to step up, innovate, and create environments where every child’s potential is not only recognized but also nurtured. Let’s champion neuro-inclusive design and make a real difference. You can read our insights and watch the talks by expert leaders Jess Meredith, Mark Ellerby and Gillian Burgis Smith at https://lnkd.in/dvp88Ej3 #Neurodiversity #InclusiveDesign #modulyssTalks #ArchitecturalInnovation #PositiveChange #SupportAllChildren
