Hi , Subject : FK-5-1-12 High pressure system ( 70 bar ) : Good evening , One of the ongoing project , we have been doing Novec High pressure system ( 70 Bar ) . Novec System Main cylinders will be activated by nitrogen Cylinder . Pneumatic cylinder pressure is ( 100 bar ) and actuation line pressure limit is 150 Bar . To verify integrity of actuation line , we need to do the Piping leakage Test . May i know what is the pressure limit as per NFPA 2001 Code ? anyone have done pressure test for the High pressure system actuation line ?

What is the difference between Static balnacing valve(double regulating valve) & dynamic balancing valve(pressure independent control valve)? The answer: , the difference between using the traditional two way valve and pressure independent control valve “PICV” in controlling the chilled water flow in hydronic system. The traditional system consists of three main valves: 1- Two way valve: used to varying the flow in the terminal unit according to the signal from room thermostat. 2- Double Regulating Valve “DRV”: used to maintain the maximum design flow in the terminal unit branch. 3- Differential Pressure Control Valve “DPCV”: used to maintain a constant pressure differential across the terminal unit branch; this protects downstream control valves from excessive pressures. PICV combines the function of DRV, DPCV and Two way valves into a single valve, the advantages of use PICV: 1- Reduce the number of valves 2- Reduces installation time 3- Simplifies selection 4- Simplifies Commissioning #copied

Here are the key points about CDTP: 1.Purpose: CDTP ensures that the valve will open at the correct pressure when it is installed in the system, accounting for temperature and other operating conditions. 2.Adjustment: The actual set pressure of a PSV in service can be influenced by operating temperature, so CDTP is used to ensure accuracy during testing at ambient conditions. 3. Calculation: CDTP is derived by adjusting the required set pressure by a factor that accounts for temperature differences. The precise adjustment depends on the valve materials and specific design.
