Ruhrpumpen delivered an RDP 100/55 VHP API674 pump to be installed on one of the largest FPSO vessels operating in the oil and gas industry worldwide. This vessel will be located in a large deepwater oil field within the Cessão Onerosa region of the pre-salt Santos Basin, offshore Brazil. This very high-pressure equipment will be used primarily to conduct leak tests on multiple wells, ensuring there are no leaks in the piping systems and equipment under pressures of up to 720 barg. These leak tests are fundamental to guaranteeing the integrity and safety of the production facilities, preventing potential spills and accidents. Additionally, the pump, with its explosion-proof HMI control interface and internal PLC, allows for precise and safe operation, meeting the industry's strict safety standards. The offshore field covers an area of 416 km² and is situated approximately 200 km off the coast of Rio de Janeiro at water depths ranging between 1,600 m and 2,100 m. The field is scheduled to start operating in 2026.
