This Tuesday, SignalFire hosted an exclusive gathering of General Counsels (GCs) and firm lawyers in our network to discuss AI's transformative potential for legal operations. Huge thank you to our co-hosts Jennifer T. Miller, General Counsel at Grammarly, and Shana Simmons, Chief Legal Officer at Zendesk, for their partnership on this event! Principal and SignalFire AI Lab lead Veronica Mercado welcomed AI Lab founders Bryan Lee from Ruli and Arvind Sujeeth from Billables AI, who joined GCs and others from Asana, Rippling, Y Combinator, Apollo.io, Hippocratic AI, the California State Senate, and more. Some key takeaways from the conversation: 🍪 There's no cookie-cutter approach to AI adoption in legal operations. Everyone is experimenting along a broad spectrum today, and we think there’s room for leadership at the intersection of Legal and AI. As Shana mentioned in the opening remarks, sales teams have long had Salesforce – it's past time that legal teams benefit from a similar product. 🔍 The biggest AI concern for lawyers is still privacy. AI is only as useful as the data that powers it, but sharing that data raises security and confidentiality issues. GCs want AI products that center data security, control, usage, and governance. We’re at a historic inflection point of AI adoption across business functions, and it’s thrilling to be at the forefront of that change in LegalTech at SignalFire. Building dynamic ecosystems and connecting founders, operators, and investors is my passion, and I’m grateful to facilitate these important discussions and shape meaningful experiences for our founders.
