Check out my latest article on trekfortrevor.org where I provide 5 tips for traversing the San Jacinto mountains on the Pacific Crest Trail.
In this article, Trek for Trevor Vice President and PCT thru-hiker Russell Hepton discusses tips and tricks to stay safe when hiking in the San Jacinto mountains of southern California, especially when snow and ice are present. Russell crossed paths with Trevor during their attempted thru-hike of the PCT in 2020. He exited the trail at the I-10 overpass just north of Idyllwild due to concerns over COVID-19, but returned for a successful southbound attempt in 2022. Thanks Russ for your commitment to keeping hikers safe with an educational article about one of the most dangerous sections of the entire PCT! https://lnkd.in/ggQS8wJa #HikerSafety #TrekforTrevor #TrekSmart #TrekSafe #PCT #SanJacinto
