I could never imagine how mind-blowing a tech sales environment is until I stepped foot in the chaos...and I LOVE IT! What I love most about this type of environment is the amount of growth I have accepted in such a short amount of time and the connections I am making. Such smart, driven, and compassionate people are all around me. I am a constant work-in-progress, and I love how it is embraced in this space. There's never an expectation to have it together at all times, but there is an expectation to grow in emotional intelligence, communication, and education. There was so much time, focus, and energy I put into breaking into tech, and I am happy to see the results within myself. I am more inquisitive, my responses are thoughtful, and I am more confident. I trust myself to stay organized and timely to get done the things I said I would. It's amazing when a leader tells you, "I trust you because you not only keep your word, but you have created systems that help you execute at a high level." It only took me TWO WEEKS to get an awesome remote sales role.. Here's exactly how I did it (step by step - copy me):👇🏼 1) Leverage your network on LinkedIn. 💻 - Make a LinkedIn post saying you are searching for X Role. - Reach out to your connections letting them know you are looking for your next role. 2) Search LinkedIn job postings and prospect like your life depends on it. 👨🏻💻 Apply to 2-3 companies a day - ones you see yourself being at long term. For sales - prospect these titles 👇🏼 - VP of sales - Sales Managers - Recruiter for the role Download a free lead gen tool - personally used Prospect (tryprospect.com). Get as many phone numbers, and emails as you can. Get the free version of Loom. Use personalized outreach on WHY you would be a good fit for the role. Send very personalized messaging on every channel you can to the prospects above. 👉🏼 Even if someone is the wrong person, they will refer you to the right person probably by a warm intro. They will appreciate your HUSTLE 🔥 3) Track every interaction with every company. 📖 It's so easy to get lost in where you are at with what company. I used folk (my CRM), and they honestly helped me keep myself organized. I was able to track every company interaction that I had which was a lot. It's important to stay organized. 👉🏼 If you do this I promise you will have a new job in a few weeks! As a Sales Engineer, I value the power of teamwork, creativity, determination, commitment, and success. While remote working offers flexibility, I believe that working in person with a team cannot be replaced. A successful Sales Engineer is like a quarterback, passing the ball to playmakers during discovery calls, demos, or POCs. Being flexible and dynamic is essential for successful playmaking.
