Not a perfect 1️⃣0️⃣⁉️ 🚀 Just wrapped up our 75th mangers meeting since we began this journey over two years ago! 🎉 At our recent gathering, we delved deep into mindset, skill development, and habits—core pillars of our team's growth. 💡 With a sprinkle of operational matters, we dedicated ample time to refining our unique process and exploring the exciting realm of AI. 🤖 What truly sets our meetings apart is our commitment to gratitude. Starting or ending each session with a moment of appreciation fuels our values and strengthens our bond as a team. However, I must admit, in the whirlwind of discussions, I overlooked this crucial ritual in our latest gathering. We rank our meetings from 1-10 with 10 being the best score. Needless to say I received a not-quite-perfect rating of 9.75. 🙏 Why? I was so excited at what I was presenting I forgot the gratitude part of the meeting. 😞 I loved that they called me out on it! It only underscores the importance of gratitude in our meetings—it's not just an add-on; it's at the core of our success. Some days are more challenging than others, with never enough hours to get everything done. But then there are those productive days when I can look at my to-do list and see significant progress, ticking off tasks one by one. It’s often the little things that make the biggest difference—a simple “thank you,” some recognition, or seeing the positive impact on a colleague after a visit. Moments like these remind me why I love what I do! A short story of how I ended up on stage with our founder and CEO, Markus. L&D team: "Evert, you’re introverted, right?" Me: "Yes, very." 😶 L&D: "So you wouldn’t want to be on stage in front of a lot of people, right?" Me: "Not unless I really have to." 🤔 L&D: "Great! You’ll be perfect for facilitating our onboarding session for new joiners - and interviewing our CEO! See you on Thursday." Me: "Cool. Cool." 🫣 Alright, maybe that’s not exactly how it happened. But honestly, facilitating sessions and entertaining people you've never met is tough! For me, it’s much easier to present on specific topics and share my knowledge. Then I remember how crucial onboarding is when starting a new job. It’s important to have someone who makes the time for you, making sure you feel like you belong. So, I take on the challenge to step out of my comfort zone - because I know my team would do the same for me. 🫡
