Just reposting what my son has so articulately written below. If you would like to help us just follow the link.
Hey everyone, this time of year is always busy and exciting. I’ve been reminiscing a lot recently about Christmas when I was a kid. Growing up my family would alternate between Christmas in a Kenya and Christmas in Australia. Kenyan Christmas never really had presents so was just 100% about spending time with family, which in Kenya has the loosest definition of basically anyone nearby. I have such treasured memories of playing cards with a handful of my cousins and then out of nowhere 10+ “cousins” would appear who I’ve never even met and we’d share so many laughs and often end our nights crowded around dimly lit kerosene lamps telling stories well past my bedtime. For the last 8 years my family has been trying to help other families who are in need to make some treasured memories of their own by giving out Christmas hampers. These hampers include things like enough food for a family and some new clothes for the kids. Each hamper costs $40, our goal this year is to give 70 families a hamper. If you’re able to help at all, I could not possibly thank you enough. Regardless of if you can help or not I hope you enjoy the holidays and get to spend some quality time with your loved ones and hopefully create some new treasured memories. https://lnkd.in/gfqU5AAN
