RW Armstrong’s Post

The RW Armstrong Joinery workshop in Basingstoke actively pursues sustainable methods for managing waste wood, including an initiative to donate surplus wood to local schools. One school shared some of the impressive creations their students made with these donations. In design and technology classes, students used the donated wood to craft wooden games entirely from scratch. The students expressed their appreciation, stating: “We enjoy working with Sapele and Oak because they don’t split when cutting and oil beautifully, showcasing the wood’s lovely grain patterns.” One student added: “I was fortunate to do work experience at RW Armstrong—it was inspiring to see the projects they create using the same wood I work with.” #familybusiness #buildingforgenerations #wooddonations #recycling #reusing #localschools #finequalitybuilding #craftsmanship
