Yes, we said no more chocolates after the Kinder advent calendar last year... but we couldn't resist! 😬 🙈 And let's be honest, what's Christmas if there are no chocolates... 🍫 🎄 So we decided to look inside one of the most eaten chocolate during Christmas season (at least in France) and it's the Ferrero Rocher 🍫 From the hazelnut flakes, the crunchy chocolate, the praline and of course the central nut, we can see everything layer by layer with a CT Scan from the EasyTom S! We can clearly see that the nut it not totaly full, there is a bit of air inside! Well, enjoy chocolate, enjoy your gifts, enjoy being with friends and family and most of all, 𝐌𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐡𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐦𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐚𝐥𝐥 🎄 🎆 🎁

Basis for What You Give We are still celebrating Thirty Days of Thanksgiving. If you base what you give (or how you serve) on who or how much appreciation or likes you will receive, you will be chasing people's appetites for the rest of your life. A person can do a good deed and hand out turkeys on Thanksgiving. Some people will take the turkey, consume it, and show no appreciation at all. Other people will take it, show gratitude, and consume it later. Some people's plates may already be full at home and don't need the turkey. Some are vegetarians, vegans, or just don't like the taste of turkey. Turkey does not coincide with their diet, and no matter how you prepare it, it will not be appetizing to them. Just because what you give does not meet everyone's needs or wants does not mean you stop doing good deeds and exercising generosity. When you can, share the good given to you, and try to help and bring joy, blessings, and perspective into others' lives. Your actions may be impactful for some, ignored by others, and outright rejected by a few, but don’t let that stop you. If you set out to help a community but only see that you helped one family, you still made a positive impact. Be thankful that one family is grateful for your efforts. Think about it. Have a thankful and terrific Tuesday. Thirty Days of Thanksgiving

In other countries there is a wonderful tradition of “taking tea” several times a day. Tradition dictates that all work is momentarily set aside so individuals can simply enjoy the company of those they are with at the time. In “25 Days of Taking Tea at Christmastime: Creating Moments of Comfort and Joy,” these suggestions are interwoven with ways to “take tea” during the Christmas season, when we are often so busy with shopping, gift wrapping, baking, and other preparations, we neglect to make connections with the important people in our lives. As you read “25 Days of Taking Tea at Christmastime” and use the corresponding journal pages, you will discover ways to carve out time in your day to create moments with the important people in your life. The greatest gift we can offer others is our presence to those we love and are called to serve. “25 Days of Taking Tea at Christmastime” can be found at The Bookman or by using the link below. Additional copies can also be found at Kenzie's Be Cafe. Kenzie’s carries several of my other books as well, including my resource book, “The Power of Community Connectedness.” If you purchase a book, will you please let me know? I would love to thank you! The wildly popular Michelle Joyce Speakers COUNTDOWN TO CHRISTMAS continues this week… Every December, as our team winds down the year, we like to have a little fun and show the human side of our roster. And nothing could be more human than learning to laugh at our mistakes, right?! So, with that humbling and humorous spirit in mind, for our 2024 season, we present to you… our FESTIVE FAILS! 😂 Our eighth Festive Fail is brought to you by our speaker Joe Mull M.Ed, CSP: "Every Christmas morning, after the kids open presents, I make Monkey Bread. A sugary, buttery, giant-cinnamon-roll confection, Monkey Bread bakes in a bundt pan and comes out of the oven as a warm, ooey-gooey treat that smells amazing. As the kids have gotten older, the batch I make doesn’t go as far as it used to, when 3 little kids, with little bellies, ate little servings. Nowadays, the whole thing is gone in seconds. So last year, I decided to increase the recipe by 50%. I did all the prep work and proudly fit this larger batch into the bundt pan. It was a tight fit, with the sugar, melted butter and dough balls reaching nearly the top edge of the pan. I popped it in the oven, and we went back to Christmas morning festivities. Despite having cooked this for years, I completely forgot that Monkey Bread rises in the pan significantly as it bakes. As you can guess, it wasn't long until I had a massive mess on my hands. The whole concoction had poured over the sides of the Bundt pan, which meant that butter and dough was burning throughout the oven, filling the house with smoke and setting off alarms. Amid balls of black, smoking dough, what little monkey bread was left in the pan was a doughy, uncooked, inedible mess that looked like wet bread and smelled like a campfire. It was a Christmas monkey bread disaster… a Festive Fail indeed. Lesson learned: this year, two Bundt pans." #CountdownToChristmas #FestiveFail #MichelleJoyceSpeakers

Happy Thanksgiving from the Meridian Team! This time of year, we pause to reflect on all we’re grateful for—our families, friends, and the communities that make everything brighter. Whether you’re celebrating with a large gathering or keeping it cozy, we hope your day is filled with laughter, warmth, and great food. And since we all know the turkey coma struggle is real, here are 3 tips to keep Thanksgiving from turning into an eating marathon: 1. The “Taste-Don’t-Tackle” Approach: Sample a little of everything you love instead of tackling full portions—your future self (and your post-meal nap) will thank you. 2. Take Tiny Timeouts: Between each round of mashed potatoes and pie, take a moment to savor and enjoy. Pro tip: moving around between courses (even a quick walk) can help. 3. Dessert Strategy: Choose or Commit: Either pick your absolute favorite dessert or have a tiny taste of each. Your inner foodie gets the satisfaction, without the food coma! Wishing you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with gratitude, joy, and cherished moments! #FamilyBusiness #Thanksgiving #Gratitude #Thankful #FamilyTime #HolidayTips #Meridian

Seasonal rituals gain value with every new year, whether it’s decorating a tree, baking special desserts, watching certain movies or singing Christmas carols. Historically, these traditions don’t mean as much to younger generations unless they’re getting something tangible out of it. Gifts. Money. Food. You know, stuff. As we age, these traditions take on deeper meaning. Nostalgia plays a powerful role. And so does the accumulation of time. Years turn into decades. Decades turn into memories. It gradually becomes less about stuff and more about our feelings regarding stuff. Today’s column: https://lnkd.in/ga8Eh8Gz #traditions
