Alquist 3D, in partnership with the State of Colorado, Aims Community College and the City of Greeley, is working to position Greeley as the state's leading hub for 3D technology innovation. Since joining forces in 2023, Alquist has relocated its headquarters to Greeley, marking a milestone in this initiative. Retrofit and the circular economy go hand in glove, and we’re learning so much on this project. The time it takes to survey, review, and catalogue everything on site - understand what you have and what you can do with it. Every decision has time, skills, compliance, and logistical implications, as well as a financial and carbon cost. But reuse is so much more than just carbon. It’s avoiding the need to take new materials out of the ground only to put waste products back again. It’s about innovation in thinking and in practice. In an environment where “perfection is the enemy of the good”, we’re not pretending it will be perfect, but the next one will be better, and the one after that will be better again.
