Global QA Leader | Driving Innovation in Game Quality | Extensive First-Party & Outsource Experience | Encompassing North American & European Markets
In the last few months i've been contacted by a lot of people looking to get into QA with no prior experience, asking just what hard skills they should develop to be "eligible" to be considered for a Dev-QA position. What kind of courses to take, what knowledge to acquire or what software to learn. While I could tell you to learn to use Jira, TestRail or be proficient with Excel, the truth is most first-party studios will not hire a tester with zero industry experience. There are exceptions, but trust me, you might be chasing that first-party DevQA position for a very long time in regular circumstances. Now, the good news: There are plenty of outsource QA studios out there who do work directly with your favorite developers that do regularly hire junior QA professionals with no previous QA background. Hell, that’s where I started! The coolest thing about outsource, is that you will likely work on tens of different projects within your first few years, gaining experience on a wide range of consoles/platforms, and with studios going from indie, to AA, to AAA. You also will be able to Interact, or even learn different QA expertises like Localization, Compliance/Certification and Automation. This is where you build your QA portfolio that can help you get into your favorite first party developer later. OR! You might just find a passion for Outsource QA and make it your career instead. I’ll include a list of studios out there I know regularly look for new talent to add to their team, make sure to get in contact with them and see what’s available. Keep in mind, not all of those studios are currently recruiting, but it's worth checking on their activities and job postings regularly: • Room 8 Studio • GlobalStep • Lockit QA • Keywords Studios • SnoopGame | Game Testing Company • PTW • Lionbridge • Testronic • QATestLab • Experis Game Solutions • Quantic Lab • Exient (Looking for Juniors, UK and Malta) and many... many more. Those are just some i have in mind right now. Please feel free to drop some studio names in the comment i missed to help out our up-and-comers. :) #outsource #qa #qualityassurance #newgeneration

Open for Opportunities worldwide | Software Test Engineer @ Perseus Group | Test Scripts | Performance | Automation | Git | Upwork Rising Star ⭐
When choosing product testing tools, it's important to pick ones that work well with your web application's coding languages, frameworks, and databases. Look for tools that easily connect with your development software, like your code editor, version control system, bug tracker, or continuous integration server. Avoid tools that cause problems, errors, or slow down your testing or development. Compatibility and smooth integration are key! Hey, FQA TA1 (entry level) job offer in Warsaw here! There is no mention about that on Linkedin - only on Skillshot, therefore for the folks out there in Warsaw willing to start their journey in FQA, there is an entry level job offer for TA1 (Test Associate 1 - pretty much trial period for basic functional tester position) in Lionbridge. Please be aware, that even though it states 'Praca Stała/Steady Job' in Skillshot offer (which may indicate employment contract), when you proceed to the link attached, it states that it is 'Umowa Zlecenie/Contract of Mandate'. If you are interested, I would recommend double checking that. Especially, if the type of contract is a huge deal for you. Skillshot link: https://lnkd.in/d4nhXeAD Direct Lionbridge recruitment portal link: https://lnkd.in/dPxmzUqQ If you are interested, good luck and may the defects be with you (in game only)! 🐛

Software Engineer in Test | API Automation | UI Automation | Manual Testing | JUnit | Python | Java | Cucumber | POM | Selenium | Rest API |
Five mistakes which could avoid as a Junior/senior Test Engineer 1) Testing a product from end user perspective too, with experienced QA mindset. 2) Understanding a feature is more important then just jumping in to test. 3) Automating everything is not feasible, instead focus on creating UI and Business Layer Automations. 4) Understanding Developer Code is a key skill, if you cannot do it right now. Try to gain it with time. 5) Not Asking enough questions is a biggest mistake. When in doubt reach out to your Lead, Developers, other QAs. Bonus: Testers find hidden mistakes, errors or bugs which already exist in the system, its not possible to make a system bug free! hashtag #Testing #SQA #Bug #opentowork

Sr. Test Automation Engineer @ Infosys | Salesforce Sales Cloud & CPQ Testing | API-UI Test Automation | Java | Selenium | RestAssured | Cucumber | TestNG | Defect Management | Agile | Ready to Excel in a Leadership Role
𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘃𝘀. 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗣𝗜 𝘁𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 In simple terms, 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is the process of verifying who a user is, while 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 is the process of verifying what they have access to. 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗮 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗲𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲: When you go through security at an airport, you show your ID to authenticate your identity so that you can enter the airport. Then, when you arrive at the gate, let's suppose you have opted for the seat from Indigo Airlines. You present your boarding pass to the flight attendant, so they can authorize you to board your flight and allow access to the plane. but with the same boarding pass, Vistara Airlines will not authorize you to access their service. Here's a quick overview of the differences between authentication and authorization: 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: • Determines whether users are who they claim to be • Challenges the user to validate credentials (for example, through passwords, answers to security questions, or facial recognition) • Usually done before authorization • Generally, transmits information through an ID Token • Generally governed by the OpenID Connect (OIDC) protocol 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲: Employees in a company are required to authenticate through the network before accessing their company email 𝗔𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘇𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻: • Determines what users can and cannot access • Verifies whether access is allowed through policies and rules • Usually done after successful authentication • Generally, transmits information through an Access Token • Generally governed by the OAuth 2.0 framework 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲: After an employee successfully authenticates, the system determines what information the employee is allowed to access In short, access to a resource is protected by both authentication and authorization. If you can't prove your identity, you won't be allowed into a resource. And even if you can prove your identity, if you are not authorized for that resource, you will still be denied access. 🌟 A Day in the Life of a QA Engineer 🌟 Hey LinkedIn Fam! 👋 The other day, I was sitting at my desk, sipping my morning coffee ☕, and I thought, "Why not share a bit about what I do as a QA Engineer?" So here we go! Picture this: I’ve just settled in for the day when, BOOM! There’s a bug in the code that’s harder to catch than a cat hiding under the bed. 🐱🐞 Welcome to my world, where every day is a puzzle, every bug is a mystery, and every release is a small victory! 🏆✨ Here’s what my typical day looks like: #TheArtofPatience: I often find myself waiting for that elusive bug to appear. It's like watching a cat that’s just out of reach, knowing it’ll come out when it’s ready. #CommunicationSkills: Sometimes, I have to tell developers that their code has a few issues. It’s like telling a chef their dish needs a bit more salt – tricky, but necessary! 🍴 #AttentiontoDetail: Finding tiny errors in a sea of code is like finding a needle in a haystack. But, with the eyes of a hawk, we QA folks are up for the challenge! 🦅 #TeamworkMakestheDreamWork: Collaborating with developers, designers, and product managers is like being in a band. We all need to play our parts to create a hit song! 🎸 #ContinuousLearning: The tech world is always evolving. We’re constantly learning new tools and techniques, like being in a never-ending escape room. 🧩 So, next time you use an app or visit a website that works perfectly, think of the QA engineers who make sure your experience is smooth and seamless! 🙌 To all my fellow QA warriors out there, keep hunting those bugs and making the tech world a better place, one test case at a time! 💪🚀 #QALife #TechHumor #BehindTheScenes #BugHunter #LifeOfAnEngineer

Guys, who needs to - Reduce the product owner's workload and create/refine product req's - Increase quality and focus developers on creating new features (rather than endlessly fixing sudden defects) - And all of this is absolutely free! we can help. A QA manager with 20+ years of experience and a group of QA interns will solve all this effectively in two months of work. In most cases, the CEO feels the difference between "before" and "after". For example, hiring one or two interns on staff (even if the company didn't have QA at all before). Video testimonials from CEO's are ready to be sent to DM.

Hi all! I have some free time while looking for a new job; a special hello to #itrecruiters 👋 - an experienced #manualQA freed up here, and I want to share some experience with aspiring testers. And let's start with the importance of communication skills. Good communication fosters mutual respect and understanding between team members, which improves teamwork and leads to a quality product. It also helps understand project requirements and supports effective communication within the team. In your work, keep the following things in mind: 1️⃣ Be clear and specific in your reports. Clear and detailed descriptions of problems speed up the problem-solving process. 2️⃣ Use positive language. Constructive criticism and a positive tone contribute to a better reception of information. 3️⃣ Understand the developer's perspective. Knowing the basics of programming and the development process helps you find common ground. 4️⃣ Regular meetings and feedback. Regular communication helps avoid misunderstandings and build trust. Remember, working together and understanding each other helps build a quality product. And if the team works remotely - multiply the importance of communication by 2, at least. #ManualTesting #teamwork #QA #SoftwareDevelopment
