As companies drive to stretch out capacity and throughput in their existing warehouse space, there's a key factor in this process that is often overlooked: Certainty. How much is certainty worth? Consider what it costs to implement a project and then have to pivot away from it: - CapX lost - Operational chaos - Training costs wasted - Opportunity cost of missing the mark - SLA interruption / Customer retention impact - Employee dissatisfaction - Termination There are solution providers that have invested millions of dollars into modeling, simulation, and emulation tools that can test a potential solution's viability - but equally importantly - stress-test the solution to show what business changes can impact performance. This service may seem costly, but historically they're in the single digits of total percentage of the whole implementation. Fair cost?
