Sunderland Riverside Multi-Storey Car Park has been awarded the 2024 Architect’s Journal Infrastructure and Transport Award 🏆 🥳 The national ‘AJ’ Awards recognise design excellence and highlight the very best projects across 16+ categories from housing, health and wellbeing to workplace, infrastructure and cultural projects. The judges commented that the Sunderland Riverside Multi-Storey Car Park project was “head and shoulders” above others shortlisted in the category 🧐 The state of the art 657 space Multi Storey Car Park is an intrinsic element in the development of Riverside Sunderland and its impact extends far beyond provision of a sustainable parking solution. Helping to enable the growth of a vibrant mixed use community including housing, leisure and employment opportunities including approximately 10,000 new jobs and the construction of 1,000 new homes.
